Do you think that you could do this now if this is the case?

Absolutely, I would say almost everyone would say yes if they are honest... I do believe that receiving and giving forgiveness are two sides of the same coin... it does the same good for both... ie holding a grudge is just the flip side of guilt, both need to be let go....in forgiving another you are forgiving yourself as well.

Not any more. I grew up and discovered that we don't live forever and life is too short to be too proud to say sorry to someone you have offended.

I always ask for forgiveness if I think that I have hurt someone. Sometimes it is after I have had a chance to calm down and think it over if it was done in the heat of the moment! However, I don't always get it, and that's okay too!

Life has enough trauma and issues to deal with without us adding guilt for things unsaid to the mix.

I suppose it was the environment I grew up in where we were encouraged to always lay everything out on the table, so to speak. So I learned way back to instantly apologize for whatever dumb or insensitive or otherwise perceived wrong I have done to others. You make amends and move on, hopefully without any lingering resentments.

There are a few people from my past youth that I would apologize to now should our paths cross again. But our paths simply haven't crossed again for whatever reasons.

But the adult in me has no unfinished personal issues that I know of. This is, of course, subjective because there may have been a few folks over the years whom I'm insulted or somehow wronged that I'm not now or wasn't then aware of.

No! I am stubborn but not too proud to admit when I'm wrong. I'll ask for forgiveness if I think someone has been hurt by me.

No. I believe that you should always tell people what you want to tell them when you get a chance to. Not to be morose, but you never know when your last chance to talk them will be until it has already passed, so if I want to apologize, I do it first chance I get.
