Silly girl.!..Species...hee, hee. Ok. this is what I think: Most athiests don't feel the weight of upholding a stature, where as some Christians seem to feel that they need to wave Flags, and save all of us who decide "NOT" to belong to a specific group or religion. I imagine that's a pretty heavy weight to carry.
It's only a theory, but, like you, I have friend and family who don't believe in God. Myself, I do believe, but I don't feel that I need to speak THROUGH anyone to talk to God. I was raised Catholic. When I was 11years old, my Parents were divorced. My Momma was BANNED from the church for this! I think it's very wrong, and that was the day I decided I no longer wanted to be a Catholic. I am satisfied with being "Spiritual". WWOOO... Sorry, I really went on there, did'nt I ?
I hope I've answered your question somewhere in there.

I am a Christian as well btw, but I think the many Christians are more of the uptight serious people.
Non-Christians are more layed back and relaxed so they can be more fun to be around.
I have more non-Christian friends as well but it can also be harder. I really dont drink or do a lot of things they do so I get a lot of flack for it.

First, different belief systems does NOT make us different species.
Second, it depends on what you mean by "good".
From God's perspective, when you look at the 10 Commandments as the standard of measure, we lie, we covet, we are greedy, selfish, get angry easily, lust, we are jealous, and the list goes on.
If a person has told a lie, taken something that wasn't their's to take, looked at another person with sexual desires, been angry and even hateful at someone, then that person is a lying, thieving, murderous adulterer. How is THAT "good"?
In fact, "There is NONE good, no not one. We have all gone astray. We have each one turned to his own way" because "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
It is for this very reason that God came to earth as Jesus Christ, the Son of God, to pay the penalty for sins WE committed. In fact, it says that even though Jesus had never known sin, He actually became sin for us. He traded places with us and took OUR place.
I am sad that you have no close Christian friends, and I sure pray that you are limiting that to Yahoo Answers, and that you DO have Christian friends where you live.
Like yourself, I don't really have any Christian "friends" here in yahoo Q&A, but that's not why I come here. I pray that the answers I give will touch someone's heart. I know that my answers are not exactly popular, but just per chance, somebody may read and think, and be drawn to a God who Loved them so much that He gave His only Son for them.
I pray that my answer is at all helpful, even though it doesn't really specifically answer your question.

Yes defiantly.
We are also smarter, witty and devastatingly good looking.
We are also incredibly modest. In fact I am the most modest person I know.
I also never ever lie. Even as a joke.
Hey, I have some great christian friends, it does seem like this place attracts the trolls and bigots though.
You could always join us, then you too would be smart, witty, good looking and modest. (But not as modest as me!)

I really don't know...most I can say is that atheists are usually friendlier because we like people more or something, since we know that there's only one life, we have to make as many friendas as possible ^_^

That is a very good question, and a tough one, one I'd like to know myself, (but not about atheists), but about Christians, and that I cannot answer.

I think that Atheists are friendlier than Christian, but that's just my opinion.

If you claim to be a child of the living God, your words do reveal your heart and since when do you picture rolls of toilet paper as with meditating in the word of God? I would be glad to be a friend but are you my sister in Christ? Does the Spirit of the Living God dwell in you or no??
