I have looked and looked and I have not found one for me. So can someone recommend one just tell me about it. I want one the has the discipline of islam but still allows me to drink. One that thinks jesus is alright but not the son of god. it can be polythiestic or monothiest is dosnt matter. Athiestic philosphies eg Buddhism are not my thing. Is there a belief out there for me.

"All scripture is inspired of God...." (2 Timothy 3:16) Since all scripture is inspired of him, shouldn't you want what GOD wants of you?Especially if you want ANYTHING at all to do with 'religion.' How does this sound...You can have a chance to live forever on this earth in peace and security, with a perfect mind and body, with no crime or hate, in your own home that you will not have to pay for, you will be young, won't have Satan around to make trouble (EVER), see ones that you have lost due to death, return again (and also have this same opportunity, no one will ever be hungry or sad, the Earth will be clean (no more pollution) everyone on the earth will love each other (no more hate), you can visit the whole entire Earth (for free), and so much more! Well it says that this is possible, BUT you must live according to to what God wants and not what you want. So choosing a religion is a serious matter not to be taken lightly. I searched the scriptures before I decided to be one of Jehovah's Witnesses, I didn't just choose what I liked about the beliefs. So search carefully. Pay attention to what ever you may hear preachers saying, then look into the Bible before YOU decide if or want to believe if what is being said is true.

Quakers, perhaps. Mormons do frown upon drinking and insist that Jesus is the son of God and you must believe the prophet lives in Utah.

JW's also frown on drinking.

You may actually want to check out reconstructionist Roman paganism. They accepted any deity as legitimate and would recognize Christ as a teacher and the ways to worship are very disciplined.

Reconstructionist Asatru (Nordic) can be as disciplined as you make it and you can drink (definitely).

I would Recommend that you should study with Jehovah's Witnesses. I am one myself, And I am sooooooo happy, and proud of it.

You can study the bible for free with anyone of Jehovah's Witnesses in your area. When you go to there services, or churches, it is free, there are NO collections Plates.

Why not study? Like I said it is free, we are happy too study with interested ones, even if they are just examining our belief's, and not interesting on converting. You can cancel anytime you like if you don't agree with what your being taught.

It seems like you're approaching it in the wrong way. Deciding which beliefs you like and making up your own religion isn't going to make those things true. Surely it's much more sensible to look into which religion teaches the truth about the world. What's real won't necessarily fit with what you want to be real.

Since religion is a tenet of disproportionate levels of dogmatism.. try considering the aspects of all the religions that you find 'comfortable' .. incorporate all of the various philosophies into your own living, belief patter .. therein will you find calm and contentedness ..

this is commonly (and mistakenly) referred to as Zen

P.S. Not all sects of the faith of Islam deny the right to alcohol

Oh my friend my friend. You have already picked the wrong religion before you have even got started.

First of all the way you are going about it is in error.

God exists even if you do not believe in him. Your belief in Him or not doesn't affect him.

However your belief in Him affects you.

So start with this premise instead.
Say to yourself "OK, God is perfect, so his standard for me is perfection."

If you can find the religion that solves this problem you have found the religion for you.

I know the answer but rather than type it out I'll give you some hints.

He is the alpha and the omega
Before Moses was he was
Unlike Mohammad who died and stayed dead, He rose from the dead.

Who is he?
I'll give you another hint.
He said "Nobody comes to the father except through me."

So you have to find out who He is because that means Mohammad Buddha are not the correct ones.

He (the mystery person were are talking about here) also said
"He who is not for me is against me"

So now more than ever you must find out who he is because if you are not for him you are against Him.

Can you guess who he is? He knows you.

even though I'm Hindu, i still believe in Jesus. i don't know most of the Hindu teachings and i only follow what i think is right for me... what I'm trying to say is that you don't have to say I'm...this religion- i follow their teachings and so on. you can follow and believe a number of teachings from different religions and be the person YOU would be proud of.
