No. Not sure what you mean by sympathetic, but if it means you respect them as much as anybody else, I'm with you.

"Pathetic" hardly comes to mind.

I hope it doesn't bother them. My dear sweet Christian mother doesn't mind associating with this atheist at all.

I associate with Christians all the time off Y/A. My best friend is a devout Pentacostal.

In the end, all of us are people. You're just smarter and prettier than most.

I'm not a Christian, but not an atheist either ... I hope you don't mind me answering. I think it's great you're sympathetic to atheists ... we shouldn't hate others for our differences and should try to understand what it's like to walk in their shoes. It adds to your understanding of the world, and makes you a better person.

You go ahead but excuse me for not as alot of them say
they "pity our small world." If you are really a Christian,
that is. I have a few Atheist friends at work who are
not like these on Yahoo. They say we can get along
if we don't talk about religion. I said okay and we all
do get along.
Someone should ask why alot of them on here ask questions
Pretending To Be Christians and trying to upset people. Of course, it is different when you are hiding behind a computer
screen, isn't it?

I'm sympathetic for them in a way because I feel sorry for them that they don't know how to live their lives. That kind of sympathy is alright.

if your fellow christians do have a problem with that, then they are ignorant. I am atheist but respect other religions as a personal choice, everyone should.

Of course not, that's what God and Jesus ask of you, only receive them as human as you are, and accept them and everything but, careful don't marry one, unless he becomes a born again bible believing christian and has proved to be genuine by walking with Christ for a long time faithfully.

Go ahead.
Just don't be sympathetic to verbal abuse, logical fallacies, or bad history, regardless of where they come from.
