People form their morals and ethical constructs in many different ways; some use religious texts, some adopt them from their parents etc.

I personally try to use logic to develope my ethical concstruct but am interested in finding where other people develope their morals from, if they've ever seriously doubted or questioned them, if they feel strongly about their ethical system and if so why?

actually, i am doing a paper about "how do British view their royal ceremony?" so i need to take surveys to whoever (no need to be British) people's opinion (especially to those who disagree with the existence of royal ceremony)
i myself think that, those ceremony will cost a lot, and do not relevant anymore nowadays.
hopefully, no one gets hurt, coz this paper
is just a requirement in passing the subject.

nb: please give your reasons and explain it briefly to each answer you write.

And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, Speak unto Aaron, saying, Whosoever he be of thy seed throughout their generations that hath a blemish, let him not approach to offer the bread of his God. 18 For whatsoever man he be that hath a blemish, he shall not approach: a blind man, or a lame, or he that hath a flat nose, or anything superfluous, 19 or a man that is broken-footed, or broken-handed, 20 or crook-backed, or a dwarf, or that hath a blemish in his eye, or is scurvy, or scabbed, or hath his stones broken; 21 no man of the seed of Aaron the priest, that hath a blemish, shall come nigh to offer the offerings of Jehovah made by fire: he hath a blemish; he shall not come nigh to offer the bread of his God. 22 He shall eat the bread of his God, both of the most holy, and of the holy: 23 only he shall not go in unto the veil, nor come nigh unto the altar, because he hath a blemish; that he profane not my sanctuaries: for I am Jehovah who sanctifieth them.

Most of the world does not tip. For example a waitress is paid an hourly wage just like the cook. Why in the states do you feel the requirement to tip? It seems like nonsense.

So if a waitress earns her salary by tips rather than a set wage, in theory she should do better customer service in order to earn more, just like a commission. But if this theory is true, then shouldn't we tip the cook too? So that way the cook will do his or her best to make the food perfectly and sanitary...? Shouldn't we tip the policemen to protect our neighborhoods better at night? Shouldn't we tip our teachers so they help our children learn more?

The whole tipping idea seems ridiculous. Why not just pay people a standard wage? If the taxi driver doesn't do something right, then you can call and complain to the taxi company. Why should I have to tip him for just doing his job?

I have a friend who has sworn that after 2 weeks of playing with a deck of tarot cards have cause her to receive visits from a little green demon man that comes to her in her bedroom and while he is in her presence she is paralyzed and cannot move but she is full awake and is aware of everything around her, ex. what tv shows is on, what's playing on the radio but she cannot move and the occurrence usually last 4-6 minutes. Can tarot cards open up portal to unwanted spirits as well just like oujia boards?

The above question is just a silly analogy to the "why do atheists care so much about religion?" questions on this forum.

There must be much better analogies. So, the real question is: got any analogies for me?

I'm officially LDS (Mormon), but have been attending Catholic Mass and classes to become Catholic for a while now. I live in Utah and love Mormons (and their rules) and the relatively small group of Catholics we have here. My confidence in being Catholic and not Mormon has been shaken lately though. My sister, a high school senior who lives with my parents in Iowa, lost her best friend to a drunk driver (also a high school senior) over the weekend. Iowa is heavily Catholic, and I just can't help but wonder, if the Catholic faith had some of the same rules against alcohol as the LDS faith does, maybe this tragedy could've been avoided. This has really made me think about whether I should leave the Mormon faith for the Catholic faith. There are things I love about both churches. I love the ritualism and tradition of the Catholic faith, but I also can't say for certian that I believe Joseph Smith did not have a vision! Any words of helpful advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

I recently became a Christian, and I want to know, how are we supposed to mourn a death of a loved one? I mean, other Christians have told me that we should be happy and I understand why, but they do usually a party to celebrate it and stuff, but I want to know, isn't that a little bit disrespectful or bad? because I remember Jesus wept in Lazarus tomb.

evolution has had many assumption that can prove nothing. If there were trans - form two of them would have to change at the same time ( male female) meet at the same place and many other things like the bomb bard beetle. If it did not get all of it organs at the same time than it would of blown up, and when you are dead you can't tell your friends, but I would not have enough characters to do so. evolution has been proven wrong again and again. Don't believe me then read UNLOCKING THE MYSTERIES OF CREATION. Admit it the only reason evolution is around is because people do not want to admit that there is a God and would prefer to make a lame theory after all that's all that it is. On the hand Creation is completely true with no question.

Could that be step one on the road to peace?

They could all convert and apply for aliyah. Once they get there...well Israel IS a democratic country and treats all its citizens equally and all, so if they later decided they had made a terrible mistake and switched back to Islam or Christianity, what could Israel do except grin and bear it?
