FROM ISAIAH 40 TO 45, THE PERSON OF JEHOVAH REVEALED IS NONE OTHER THAN THE LORD JESUS CHRIST. IT IS IN ISAIAH 43, THAT THIS CULT GOT THEIR NAME too!!

ISAIAH 40 (Jehovah is the Lord Jesus Christ!!)
Isa 40:3 … Prepare ye the way of the LORD (Jehovah)…. is revealed in the New Testament (Matt 3:3, Mark 1;3, Luke 3:4, John 1:23) that it was John the baptist who prepared for the Lord Jesus Christ, who is revealed as …..LORD (Jehovah) in Isaiah 40:3

ISAIAH 41 (Jehovah is the Lord Jesus Christ!!)
Isa 41:4 Who hath wrought and done it, calling the generations from the beginning? I the LORD (Jehovah), the first, and with the last; I am He. This Person, Jehovah is revealed in the New Testament (Rev 1:8) where the Lord Jesus Christ is…. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, ……….

ISAIAH 42 (Jehovah is the Lord Jesus Christ!!)
Isa 42:6 I the LORD (Jehovah) have called thee in righteousness, and ……..To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house. I am the LORD: that is My name: and My glory will I not give to another, neither My praise to graven images.

Who is this Person Jehovah, revealed in the New testament……. Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me (Who???), because He hath anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord.

It is very obvious that the Three Persons of the Godhead is mentioned in Luke 4:18-19 (which is referring to Isaiah 61:1-2 as well); and the Person Jehovah in Isaiah 42, is identified none other than the Lord Jesus Christ, indeed the Lord Jesus Christ is Jehovah!!!

ISAIAH 43 (Jehovah is the Lord Jesus Christ!!)
Isa 43:3 For I am the LORD (Jehovah) thy God, the Holy One of Israel, thy Saviour: I gave Egypt for thy ransom, Ethiopia and Seba for thee…..who is this Jehovah who is the Saviour of Israel revealed in the New Testament……Gal 6:15-16 For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God.

NOW HERE IS THE FUN BIT

Isa 43:10-11 Ye are My witnesses, saith the LORD, and My servant whom I have chosen: that ye may know and believe Me, and understand that I am He: before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me. I, even I, am the LORD; and beside Me there is no Saviour.

Who is Jehovah? Jehovah is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ ! ! ! ! From Isaiah 40-43, it is easy to establish that Jehovah is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

ISAIAH 44 (Jehovah is the Lord Jesus Christ!!)
Isa 44:6-48 Thus saith the LORD the King of Israel, and his redeemer the LORD of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside Me there is no God…. Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even My witnesses. Is there a God beside Me? yea, there is no God; I know not any….

Who is the Jehovah Witnesses witnessing for?? Of course, for Jehovah, who is the first and the last… This Person, Jehovah is revealed in the New Testament (Rev 1:8) where the Lord Jesus Christ is…. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, ……….

Who is Jehovah? Jehovah is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ ! ! ! ! From Isaiah 40-44, it is easy to establish that Jehovah is none other than the Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

ISAIAH 45 (Jehovah is the Lord Jesus Christ!!)
Isa 45:22-23 Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I (ie Jehovah) am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by Myself, the word is gone out of My mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Who is Jehovah, that ……….. unto Me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear ? In the New Testament… Phil 2:10-11 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Rom 14:9-11 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that He might be Lord both of the dead and living. For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to Me, and every tongue shall confess to God.

If Charlie Rusell got it wrong from the beginning, who the Person of Jehovah is; what else can be right?? That is why the mess about blood transfusion. Charlie Russell thought Jehovah meant the Father in Isaiah 43, when the Person is really the Son, the Lord Jesus Christ speaking. The Lord Jesus is indeed Jehovah, or if more precisely YHWH.

Perhaps this will help

Here is a quote from the Watchtower 15-Aug-1981

"They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such 'Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..."

And another from the Watchtower; 15-Sep-1910

"Furthermore, not only do we find that people cannot see the Divine Plan in studying the Bible by itself, but we see, also, that if anyone lays the Scripture Studies aside, even after he has used them, after he has become familiar with them, after he has read them for ten years - if he lays them aside and ignores them and goes to the Bible alone, though he has understood his Bible for ten years, our experience shows that within two years he goes into darkness. On the other hand, if he had merely read the Scripture Studies with their references, and had not read a page of the Bible, as such, he would be in the light at the end of the two years, because he would have the light of the Scriptures. "

Proabably they are off, far off

I think their teaching are about the most accurate according to the bible. Trust me I have had plenty of experience with them. If I was to be involved in a religion I would be involved with the one that is willing to sit down and talk about all my questions with me. And prove the answers from the bible! They are defiantly NOT a cult, they are a group of very faithful people. And they don't believe their religion started with Charles Russell, he was just the one to begin to organize it. Get your facts straight!

People who think we're far off, don't really know their Bible. People say that we changed the Bible to fit our doctrines, but I and other Jehovah's Witnesses can prove our doctrines with just about any Bible.

Opposers are no different than the Pharisees when Jesus was around.

They are not a cult. I am not a Jehovah witness, but they do some great teaching.

They are single minded, that their beliefs are the only true beliefs, yet their religion was founded long after many others. They try to force feed themselves and their beliefs on anyone they come across and will not accept another's belief system.
I will have nothing to do with them and run them off when ever one comes knocking at my door. They do not belief in the bible's book of revelations which coinsides in many ways with my own native people's prophecies that are older than the bible. We are seeing these things all happen in our life time if you pay attention but they don't want to hear it. My mother gets so frustrated as she lives next door to one and they constantly argue about religious truthes.

whoa. I've seen an ex-JW make an entire list of their false doctrines. Even I didn't know about some of them, and I started taking a couple of the courses just to see what they were about. I don't really give a rat's behind about what they believe or don't believe, but why get so f-king passionate over HOW Christ was crucified, when so many people don't even believe that He even existed?

I've come to the conclusion that the JW's exist merely to pull down the doctrines and traditions of another Christian denomination which will remain nameless, but I'm sure you can guess.

That is basically what I was initially told, but those who said it actually, barely knew anything about them! So, I looked into their beliefs thoroughly myself, & found through them the Scriptural answers to all my spiritual /& Bible questions... JWs are not a cult. They are different, because they teach accurate Bible truth. This is why so many hate them & spread lies about them...

You may want to consider what God's word --the Bible itself-- says about this situation:

“Many will say to me [Christ] in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy,... expel demons,... and perform many powerful works in your name?’ And yet then I will confess to them: I never knew you! Get away from me, ... --Matthew 7:22-23

"...These very ones will quietly bring in destructive sects... Many will follow their acts of loose conduct, and on account of these the way of the truth [true Christianity] will be spoken of abusively. .Also... they will exploit you with counterfeit words..." --2 Peter 2:1-3

“Test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world." --1 John 4:1

"Make Sure of all things; hold fast to what is fine." 1 Th 5:21

So, rather than depending on what people say, we are encouraged to individually learn what God himself says, instead.

"Do not put your trust in nobles, Nor in the son of earthling man, to whom no salvation belongs." --Psalms 146:3

To that end, you might want to read further about the problems of listening to false propaganda, as well as what really makes a cult:

- "Propaganda Can Be Deadly..."

PS: In response to some other answerer's lies:

"LORD" (in ALL capitals) stands for Jehovah God's name.
"Lord" (with only the 1st letter capitalized) stands for Christ.

JWs book: "Revelation--It's Grand Climax at Hand!" is not the first JW book about that Bible book, & has been studied by the entire group --worldwide-- at least 3 times so far.
Online JW articles about parts of Rev. also exist, i.e.:

"Do You Know the Truth About Armageddon?" http://watchtower.org/e/20051201/article_02.htm

Facts about the teaching of hellfire & torment are in:

"What Really Is Hell?"
http://watchtower.org/e/20020715/article_02.htm

Allowing Christ himself to tell us who he really is,
this article points out those Scriptures:

"Who Is Jesus Christ?" http://watchtower.org/e/20050422/article_01.htm

Jesus himself warned:

"Be on your guard against men; for they will deliver you up to local courts, and they will scourge you... Why, you will be haled before governors and kings for my sake, for a witness to them and the nations." --Matthew 10:17,18

Jesus himself is called "the faithful witness:

"Jesus Christ,
'the Faithful Witness,'
'The firstborn from the dead,' and
'The Ruler of the kings of the earth'..." --Revelation 1:5

Jesus was born into the nation of Israel,
to whom God had said:
"You are my witnesses..." --Isaiah 43:10-12

And I don't like someone saying that they are not a cult.
They are without a spirit filled doubt, a cult!

And Hey, the Catholic WH0RE may have some great teachings (I seriously doubt it but..) and that church (with all due respect to her deceived followers) is the Queen of all cults!

Hello,

The best way to get a feel for a group is to study the background and credibility of their leader or leaders.
As the New Testaments says, you will know them by their fruits and works:
