just because it is an Atheist view?

First of all, I don't - unless the atheist answer has nothing to do with the question or is needlessly insulting, and often not then. However, in general I'd say it's probably for the same reason some atheists give Christian answers a thumbs-down, that being an inability to accept the validity of another point of view.

For what it's worth: there is no example of rude behavior that is the exclusive province of any one group on this board. Everything the Christians accuse the atheists of doing, some Christians also do. Everything the atheists accuse the theists of doing, some atheists do as well. This is, after all, the Internet, the world's first manners-free zone.

Well, if you don't count high school and middle school. And who does?

I give a thumbs up or a thumbs down to all that deserve it..And block All Trolls. Most of my contacts are Atheists and female, and a good number of them are Lesbians and Atheists. If you give someone the understanding, care, and love that is needed and you will get it back as well.I looked at the other answers, and not knowing who they are,or looking at there profile,I had no clue. If I get a negative answer from a believer, I will give them a thumbs down, unless I am fishing for that.

It shows an inherent problem with the thumbs down system, I always feel bullied with a thumbs down. It can be used to discriminate against any unorthodox view.

apparently adequate, I adventure the comparable phenomenon; purely i'm a Christian. it is unusual which you, or myself, or every physique for that depend can answer a real question in a valid way and get it thumbs downed. It particularly does not depend if a man or woman consents with the respond or no longer, the thumbs down is meant for those solutions that are way off subject depend, crude, illicit, ignorant, unfounded, unsupported etc. Coincidental that we the two have the comparable gripe; actual atheists, in case you do no longer decide directly to hearken to from persons of different ideals, do no longer come onto this section. by the way, that may not meant to be a clever alecky question, only a curious assessment. i in my opinion do get thumbs downed as quickly as I attempt to legitimately answer an atheists question, only such as you do once you attempt ot answer a Christian's question. i in my opinion think of there are only one or 2 from the two facets who only decide directly to maintain the pot rolling so as that they go around doing issues like this. i visit nonetheless attempt to respond to as legitimately as i'm able to and that i'm hoping you do besides.

Everyone has an opinion...some are open and others think their views should be the only ones. Oh well!

But No! I don't give thumbs down for a valid thought or view.

I might give an atheist's answer a thumb-down, but not based on their atheism.

Yes I do ..... I am an atheist too .... but that does not mean I have to support another atheist, it is my view against his(her)'s.
