Blowing themselves up in German restaurants? They were certainly provoked enough. What makes this kind of behaviour peculiar to Islam?

During his trial in front of Caiaphas Jesus the liar falsely prophesied that his Second Coming would happen within the lifetime of Caiaphas, i.e. while Caiaphas the high priest was still alive (Matthew 26:64). Guess what? Almost two thousand years have passed since Caiaphas has no longer been alive- and STILL NO JESUS!!!

And as for those diehard Christian Fundies who told me "maybe Caiaphas is still ALIVE", sorry, but Caiaphas really is dead- a photo of his tomb made the cover of the Sept/Oct 1992 Biblical Archaeology Review.

Once again, false prophecies by Jesus prove Jesus a false prophet, as Jesus did not return within Caiaphas’ lifetime as promised.

We are very excited and proud of our new home and many of our friends and family live far away and may never see it in person. It is rather nice and we don't want people to be offended though. Yes or No? Thanks!

Something came on me about luck and chances.

When I read some parts of the Bible it stated several statements, about God knows everything, He knows the child's name before it is even born, he knows the number of hair on your head, He created everything ever since the beginning of creation, and that he can put a soul anywhere on earth of where it is born and when it is born, he created the past, present, and future so he can look anywhere he wants to look. And that whatever you do is written in his book.

So, if God knows everything and created everything and planned everything, then would it be very obvious that there are no accidents nor luck nor chances nor coincidences nor bad timing?

My question is Why don't more muslims stand up and say this publically ? I am afraid that this is the reason that so many people think that the entire Muslim world supports terrorism and violence. The Muslim people need to speak out!

2. Likewise, the very first page of the New Testament introduces another major contradiction: inconsistent genealogies of Jesus in Matthew and Luke. Some have "explained" this by saying that Luke is the genealogy of Mary; such a claim acknowledges error, since Luke specifically states that it is the genealogy of JOSEPH [Luke 3:23], just like Matthew [Matt 1:16]. So, either there is a contradiction (Matthew says that Jacob is the father of Joseph; Luke says Heli is the father of Joseph, and from there back to Solomon not a single name is the same; not even the same number of generations), or one of them is making an incorrect statement about a relevant fact for Jesus' claim to the House of David.

Why do they do that? In recent years the bible has been shown, at last, to be vastly falsified and made up by thousands of translators and scribes over thousands of years.
But Christians still hammer away at that book, saying its the truth, the word of god and ALL answers to life can be found there.
No matter how hard I try, I simply cannot wrap my mind around that kind of thinking and logic. (And I DO try, I WANT to understand why Christians have this need!)
Slowly but surely, Christianity and religion in general have been eroded, bit by bit, by philosophy, geology, physics, paleontology, biology and science in general.
Once religion was a world dominant way of thought, now all they have left is faith and an old, falsified book whose meanings and messages are so vague that they can be interpreted hundreds of different ways.
So why? Why do so many still fight to hold on to something so hard even thought it has been falsified? Would it make more sense to obey Green Eggs and Ham?

This question is mainly for people of Indian origin, or who have a good idea of what I am talking about-NADI,like BHRIGU SHASTRA is an individual's prediction of whole life-it even talks about -when you will go to ask for your future. It is uncanny & eerie. But since I have gone to ask for my future every prediction made is coming true. These shastras are not hogwash but the priests will even read out personal stuff out of your life as if they know all about it.I just want a confirmation of people who have gone & got their future predicted-mind you not everyone gets it as some leaves have been lost over a period of time-& they get visitors from all over the globe-not just indians

g'day every1. Obviously this isn’t a question but I’m reading too much Muslim bashing on this thread. So I’m replying to every1. This isn’t a question but the truth about my fellow Muslims around the world and where the problem lies.
The problem is that “Muslims” have an ideology that anything that is “western” is anti-Islamic. What Muslims need to understand is that every civilization builds upon the one before it and there is no shame in this. When fundamental Muslims appose music, poetry, etc this attitude is a threat to human civilization.
Offcourse I have come in my life where Muslims have said to me that I’m no longer Muslim but hey, I do not believe in “sharia” law. I live in the greatest nation on earth and that is Australia. I follow the rules of my country. And I do not implement my religious beliefs on others. Muslims need to respect my view.

In the Rock and Pop section, you can just about always see at least three people on the first page, asking at any given time, "What are some good songs"?

In the Football (American) section, someone asks, "What is the green dot on the back of some players helmets" about once an hour.

Others?

America is the most outstanding example of a first rate functional democracy in the entire comity of the nations, added by the an open society.Read Y/A or any forum where people are free to express their opinions or views and it's found that hardly any citizen from other countries are so much critical about their serving President or a prime minster, as Americans. There is nothing wrong in voicing opinions or criticism about political leaders in a democracy but the moot point is,why Americans are so vocal and open about it and not people from other democratic countries. Is there any tradition behind it or some other factors are at play? I have highest regards for America and it's citizen and no negative meaning be attached to the motive behind this question. It's a purely academic question and nothing more and nothing, what so ever less.

In the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, intellectuals agonized over the question, Can an individual lead a good life without organized religion? Well, the results are in, and the answer is a resounding Yes.

But can a society survice without some kind of religious or racialist myth? That remains to be seen. The nations of western Europe have largely rejected their Christian heritage, but those nations are all going to be Islamic republics before the end of this century.

I prefer the values of secular humanism to those of Christianity, but if I have to chose between living in a Christian nation or a muslim nation, I'll pick the former alternative.
