Something came on me about luck and chances.

When I read some parts of the Bible it stated several statements, about God knows everything, He knows the child's name before it is even born, he knows the number of hair on your head, He created everything ever since the beginning of creation, and that he can put a soul anywhere on earth of where it is born and when it is born, he created the past, present, and future so he can look anywhere he wants to look. And that whatever you do is written in his book.

So, if God knows everything and created everything and planned everything, then would it be very obvious that there are no accidents nor luck nor chances nor coincidences nor bad timing?

For ALL THINGS work towards the glory of God...

All things good, bad, or indifferent. I don't believe in the "flat tire" demon. I don't like to give "the enemy" any credit. I think that God will allow the enemy to work with limitations. They can't do a single thing without His permission. Bad things will happen. And they'll happen to good people. All to His glory. I know that this is difficult to understand, but I know that it does happen.

What good can come of a child getting killed by a drunk driver?
What if the person gets to hear the Gospel and saved because of this tragic event? What if, at the funeral, MANY hear the Gospel and get saved? Then, they tell others and an exponential amount of people get into the kingdom because of this one event. The enemy will use this event to say that our God is cruel. However, God will use this event to save many.

What will you do? Give glory to God (use EVERY opportunity to win one for Christ) or curse God?

God planned and created everything in this world. But there are few things which He didnt creat. For Example, He didnt bring the sin into the world. Man did it. "Sin in the world or in Man's heart" is not God's Plan, but He knew it because HE is Omniscient. God didn't designed the sin in the world. Man brought it by disobeying God's Law.

GOD knows everything but "To man belong the plans of the heart" Proverbs 16:1

There are no accidents. It is a matter of the past choices we have made...seed time and harvest...sow bad seeds now and your future will give you a bad harvest...after time those seeds will grow and when you least expect it...will bite you in the rear. This works the same also with Good seeds as well...we reap what we sow...You are in control of what happens to you. We were made in the image of God.

I agree with the first two. Every little thing, whether it's someone being born or what elementary school you went to, has a purpose in shaping your life the way God wants it.

In God's eyes there are no accidents, bad luck, ...... God gave us free will. We are allowed to do with our time as we please. We are the ones that see things as bad luck, accidents... ect. God would never put anything in front of us that we were not meant to handle. We just choose not to handle certain things as they should be handled.
Vaya con Dios!

welcome to the paradox of omniscient God determinisim vs free will.

the way i see it, there are only 3 ways out of this paradox:

1- one of the initial assumptions must be wrong, either we dont have free will or there is no omniscient God

2- accept that the answer is unobtainable from our finite perspective and dont even ask the question to begin with

3- have faith

i lean toward the second choice on this one.... but really, i have no idea.

I believe there is no such thing as luck; it's all physics, timing, chemistry, or some combination thereof.
