Is presumptuousness a 'sin' aka a wrong-doing aka all around a terrible, destructive frame of mind?

If so, isn't it a contradiction to call it a sin, yet presume things to a black and white, 'in or out' level of dealing with your fellowman?

I see so many posts about what 'will' happen to people for their actions or lifestyles, but if being presumptuous is being comparable to a pharisee in the Bible, shouldn't this arrogance be avoided?

I find it aggrivating to read people's comments that take on this tone -- believer or non-believer, mind you -- because it automatically means they are not open to the possiblity that they may be wrong, like so many (if not all) of us often are. Thus, any discussion you may have with them will be one-sided and really, not a discussion at all.

Traditionally, the "silver cord" is seen as the line tying us and our life to our physical bodies, and once it is snapped, we leave our bodies since they have physically died. Many have seen this phenomenon in the astral plane (not me, and I have no reason or intention to ever go there.) It is a classical "new age" idea, but is Biblical as well!

Ecclesiastes 12:5-7 (New International Version)
6 Remember him—before the silver cord is severed,
or the golden bowl is broken;
before the pitcher is shattered at the spring,
or the wheel broken at the well,
7 and the dust returns to the ground it came from,
and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Why are people so scared of New Age terminology and ideas, when they are based on Biblical proof? Granted, some of the New Age philosophy is incorrect and "out there", however, the ancient ideas that the fundamental basis of it is entirely Biblical. Do some research, use your brain, and decide for you!

If when you die that Jesus wasn't the right prophet? And waiting to get into heaven, there all like, "Nope sorry, you followed the wrong faith, the correct answer was the Mormon." You would be all like, "**** I chose the wrong religion, DAMN IT!!" Wouldn't ya?

I get the impression he does because they are mentioned all the time in the bible:

For example:
Ezekiel 23:19-20
"Yet she became more and more promiscuous as she recalled the days of her youth, when she was a prostitute in Egypt. There she lusted after her lovers, whose genitals were like those of donkeys and whose emission was like that of horses."

Everything is Satan's fault, everything is man's fault, what ever doesn't worship me is evil, me...me...me...me..

I swear God doesn't like to be judged because by doing so we will see the evil which Satan saw in him. Lucifer "light bearer" shows us the light. You can contradict me, but you will never prove me wrong.
