My friend asked to borrow my mp3 for 6th period. When I asked for it back she can't find it and all there is is my headphones left in her front pocket where she left my mp3. It has been a couple months and I keep asking her what are you going to do about it or you need to pay for it but her mom is saying she is not responsible and she sounds like she doesn't want to deal with it. My mom is thinking about taking it to small claims court. I'm afraid of ruining our friendship but she obviously doesn't care and isn't taking this seriously.

She thinks she knows who stole it but we are not for sure. There is a guy who sits near her who saw her put it in her bag and people knows he has stolen before. She says when she was done with it she put it in her front pocket backpack and left it to go do something. She says the guy asks one day for a charger because he lost his new one. Sounds suspicious huh. Should my mom take it to small claims court? What should I do?

If, like liberals think, we evolved from a bunch of dim-witted monkies, wouldn't the Bible say something about this?

The Bible says that we was created by God, and that's all the proof I need!

Matthew 12:40 tells us "For as Jonas was three days and three night in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth"

So not being a mathmetician by any means, but able to add up to 3, if Jesus died on a Friday afternoon, and he spent three nights in the tomb, then Jesus resurrected on a Monday, and Easter should be celebrated on a Monday, if indeed he died on a cross on a Friday as most Catholics tell me.

Can any Catholics clear this up for me?

I'm a 15 year old girl. I love my digital camera, mp3 player(though it's always breaking)and animals. I'm a vegetarian and animal rights activist. My pom/chihuahua mix is the love of my life. I love blankets. I have 2 comforters and 5 regular comfy blankets. I'm an avid reader, love music, and am a fairly simple person. All I need to be happy is some music and a good book or good company. I don't like people buying me clothes because no one else in my family has the same style as me, or even knows my style. I'm allergic to most perfumes, make-up, and lotions, so those are out of the question. The only thing I really want this year is a few cds, and a printer for my camera. I'm very wary of anyone buying or picking out books and cds for me. All my favorite artists are mostly unknown and impossible to find. I'm also getting money donated to St. Judes. What should I ask for, I just want them off my back. I don't want a new mp3 player, I don't want a new one until mine is all the way gone.

What do you feel he would be unhappy with? Happy with? Do you feel that He would be content with the Catholic church accurately or inaccurately portraying what He had been set on earth to accomplish?

Thing is that all the time, when there's a Natural Disaster like New Orleans I don't hear people saying much about "We should have listened to the scientists and strengthened the leaves" but instead when interviewed they say, "We should pray to god more so this doesn't happen again" and they talk about praying more than using scientific defense.

It's ironic because Christmas Trees symbolize the Trinity, and wreaths symbolize God's undying love for us. I know that we have to be tolerant of other people, and I agree 100%, but that tolerance has to go both ways-in public school you should be able to say God and Chruches should be able to toll their bells, and people who claim it's prejudice, well they are discriminating against us for not paying Catholic High School tuition and eliminating God. Why are people not grasping this concept? What is it against Catholics? Are people just that judgemental and selfish?

I am a freshman in college and met a nice man on campus whom I was friendly with.

I don't see him very often, so when we would see eachother he would try to hug me or touch my shoulder and such and I had to explain that I do not like to be touched.

He said that he understood but ever since then he has been very strange around me:
-He once came up to me as I was having an instant message conversation, and began to read it over my shoulder. When I asked him to stop, he got extremely offended and left in a huff.
-I was once speaking to another friend about a private matter when he came up to us. My friend asked him to leave and he replied, "Whatever you can say infront of her you can say infront of me," causing my friend to leave and tell me he'd just call me later.

I don't know this boy very well so that second situation scared me a bit...

How can I tell him to leave me alone without causing him to make a scene?

If you could somehow go back in a time machine and meet the apostle Peter, how would you react? Would you listen to him? Would you respect the fact that he was given his apostleship by Christ himself? Can you deny that you would be at least a little excited to met this Simon Bar Jonah who Jesus renamed Peter?
Well, that's how we feel about the pope. We believe he is Peter's successor (here is a list: http://www.newadvent.org/cathen/12272b.htm ).
Jesus Christ is our Lord and Savior, the Son of the Living God. The pope is a man. But, the pope occupies an office we feel was established by Christ himself (Matt: 16: 17-19) and we respect that. That's all there is to it. Here is more info about the pope if you're interested: http://www.catholic.com/library/church_papacy.asp

and here is an archived radio broadcast about the papacy in the early church:

One of the answers is a story that the person claims to be true. I honestly dont believe she, nor anyone else, believes it is real. They might believe the moral of the story is true, but not the actual story. But she goes on to say that God is her wittness- wouldnt that be a sin?

Saying a false fact then saying God said its true, or something to that order. It kinda just blows me away how she is so willing to do that. Would that be a sin?

It shocks me that someone who believes in God, is close to God, and professes his/her love of God would give a bold faced lie and say 'as God as my wittness'

Why is it that when a man gets alot of girls, it is considered
cool? But when a girl gets alot of guys, she is considered a slut or a whore?

What's with the double-standard??

I've been told that if you are not saved,if you do not follow the word of god then you will be sent to hell.So my question is was man created with his spot in hell reserved already. It seems that once we are born,we are destined for hell, unless you give yourself to god or however you say it.So basically its saying that if you don't accept the word of god then he won't pull you away from your hell filled destiny. And what does this saved thing mean.To me being saved means you get saved from something that will destroy you.So if you are saved does that mean that you are saved from being human.I guess that man is not born saved we are born damned, and need to be saved to avoid the fate that is set aside for mankind.Any thoughts cause i don't understand how this works

is it better than the Quran? ---

it is not Al-Birr (piety, righteousness, and each and every act of obedience to Allâh, etc.) that you turn your faces towards east and (or) west (in prayers); but Al-Birr is (the quality of) the one who believes in Allâh, the Last Day, the Angels, the Book, the Prophets and gives his wealth, in spite of love for it, to the kinsfolk, to the orphans, and to Al-Masâkin (the poor), and to the wayfarer, and to those who ask, and TO SET SLAVES FREE, performs As-Salât (Iqâmat-as-Salât), and gives the Zakât, and who fulfill their covenant when they make it, and who are As-Sâbirin (the patient ones, etc.) in extreme poverty and ailment (disease) and at the time of fighting (during the battles). Such are the people of the truth and they are AlMuttaqûn (pious).
