I've been told that if you are not saved,if you do not follow the word of god then you will be sent to hell.So my question is was man created with his spot in hell reserved already. It seems that once we are born,we are destined for hell, unless you give yourself to god or however you say it.So basically its saying that if you don't accept the word of god then he won't pull you away from your hell filled destiny. And what does this saved thing mean.To me being saved means you get saved from something that will destroy you.So if you are saved does that mean that you are saved from being human.I guess that man is not born saved we are born damned, and need to be saved to avoid the fate that is set aside for mankind.Any thoughts cause i don't understand how this works

There are some people who think they are saved and that being saved is an exclusive club that gets only them into heaven.

This is total nonsense. If you know right from wrong, follow the Golden Rule and do your best to live with courage and kindness you are pretty much "saved".

Remember anyone can talk about God but nobody can speak for God; anyone who tries to do that doesn't have your best interests in mind. Wish them peace and move on.

If you're really concern about heaven, start with making heaven on earth. Live a life that can be proud of and would be happy to present to God as a return gift for having a life.

Ok slow down!
1. we don't have a spot in Hell when we are born, bcuz we have comitted no crime. we are truely innocent at birth so if we die right after being born we would go to Heaven because we did not have the chance to believe nor had we done anything wrong. That's where God's mercy comes in the picture
2. Being saved is exactly what you said it was "you get saved from something that will destroy you." that thing being eternal damnation into Hell. And you are also saved in a way, from your old self, a sinner. And even though after you've been saved you are yes still a sinner, but you are also a follower of Christ and are forgiven for the things you have done wrong.
3. once you are saved God doesn't reject you for any reason! you can reject God but He will never defy you.

so that is my explanation and i really hope it helped you out!

You asked. I'm going to answer from the Bible. We are all sinners from the day we are born. Ever have to teach a child how to steal or lie? nope. They already know how to do that-from their father-the Devil. Once we are saved, we are adopted by God-our heavenly Father. Being saved is being saved from the PENALTY of SINS. Adam was the first man that sinned since he took of the fruit of the tree of knowlegde of good and evil. His wife gave him that fruit and he did eat! Adam could have said NO. Eve was decived from the devil. But Adam could have said No. He choose no to. Once there eyes were opened-they KNEW that they were naked and went and covered themselves. God even asked "Who told you that you were naked?" If Adam had not have done this-it would not have been long until some other person would try to do this. (God told them not to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil.)

So, when a person does not get saved that means he is not saved from the penalty of his sins. You die WITH THEM. God hates sin and sin can't enter into heaven. It is either you are saved and live with God or not saved and take your own route and live with the Devil or Satan.

Satan used to be an angel in heaven. Satan wanted to overcome God. God said Nope and sent the Devil and a 1/3 of the angels with him to hell. Orginally, hell was for Satan and his angels.

So, if you believe 1. that no one is perfect (this includes you) 2. that you can't save yourself and that you are a sinner. 3. Believe that Christ came and died on the cross for YOU. He took your place-he paid your sin debt FOR YOU so you wouldn't have to pay for them yourself. (If you choose to pay for your sin debt yourself--then you pay for it in the form of hell or all eternity). 4. After believing number 3, the last part is believing that Christ is alive and in heaven and that he rose again on the 3rd day. If you believe all of this-and if you ask Him into your heart-you will be saved. God looks into the heart of man. If you SAY a prayer with your lips but DON"T MEAN IT, God knows. It does not matter about what words you choose. Just as long as you are honest and sincere in what you tell God.

if you believe that God created this world, then i think i may be able to answer your questions, else my answer will not satisfy your thirst for knowledge

my answer is divided into two parts. the first, is to show that hell present. the second, how to deal and avoid hell.

1-
does hell exists? i think this is your main question.
what do you think about the following questions?
did you ever have small burn?
did you ever see a burnt man?
did you ever hear him suffering before death?

So fire is a fact. since we belive that God has created this world, then he must be the creator of fire as well. as a result he can use fire in any purpose he need.

as we all know, the main punishing tool in hell is fire. if we belived that God will punish those who disobey him, then he can make a place where he can punish them. this place is called hell. since fire is a fact, then we can't deny the existance of hell. this is just one reason to believe in the existance of hell.

2-
i don't know how other religions deal with hell, but i'm going to discuss it as a muslim.
since hell exists then there must be heaven. hell is for those disobeying God, while heaven is for those obeying him. a simple equation that any one can follow :-)

in islam, to obey God just follow what he ordered us to do and stop doing what he ordered not to do. the question is how to know these rules??

it is simple. As muslims we just do what is mentioned in Quran (our holy book) and Sunna (what our prophet Muhammad has said or done). if we did that; God will give us his mercy and let us to enter heaven, else we deserve to go to hell.

this lead us to discus the topic of "man is not born saved but is born damned".

as a muslim i don't believe in this. All of humans (muslims and none muslims) are born without sins. it is what you do during your life that determines your destiny either in hell or heaven (remember the above equation).

Reading the book of Genesis will answer your question. Mankind was not created with a place 'reserved in hell'. When Adam and Eve partook of the forbidden fruit, they were cursed for doing so. They were created blessed, but became cursed. Therefore, anyone coming from their lineage (the whole human race) is born cursed because of them. That is why Jesus came. To redeem us from the curse of the law. Jesus is referred to in the bible as the 'second Adam'. He came to restore what was lost by the first Adam. So, if you don't accept Him, you remain cursed. Everyone is born into this world cursed. Only Jesus can remove the curse. Had it not been for Adam and Eve, people would be born blessed.

We were all created to praise and to glorify God!! BUT because of the SIN that took place in the Garden of Eden through our fore parents 'Adam and Eve' that is what blemished our standings with God and it causes us all to be "born in sin and shaped in iniquity." That is why Jesus Christ, the son of the living God, came to redeem us back to God through his death, burial and resurrection. You are exactly right: if you don't accept Christ as your own personal savior and allow him to lead you in your daily walk then your eternal destiny will be in the bottomless pit. We all say HELL but HELL is actually a holding place until the final judgement.

Believing in Christ is as simple as Romans 10:9 "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus , and shalt belief in thine heart that God hath raised him from the the dead, thou SHALT BE SAVED!"

The fact that you have asked this question shows a sign of one of two things that either you are just inquisitive and wanted to know for informations sake or that God is pulling at the strings of your heart and that he is calling you to himself that you may serve him; I pray that it be the latter. One of the most important things that you can do is avoid the damnation that awaits those that have not received him. There are a lot of genuinely nice people out there are going to HELL because they have not received or accepted him as Lord but YOU can make that choice for yourself....I pray that you get ina bible believing Church where the Word of God can be imparted into your life....God bless

Being saved means that you admit that you are a sinner, believe that christ died for those sins, and confess that he his your lord and savior. Yes, this is the only way you can get to heaven, and no, everyone is not destined for hell. Yes, it is a choice, but it would be the best choice of your life. And god has a plan for everyone, so therefore your not destined for hell. God knows whats best for you, and will give that.

As a Christian, my faith says that if you give your life to Jesus and follow his Word,(The Bible) you will be saved and become a person born again. It's letting Jesus come into your heart and influence your life. He is like a person standing at your door, wanting you to let him in. But, he will not come in unless you willfully do so. This is man's choice as a whole. If a person does not repent from their sins, then they WILL go to hell, as all sin leads to death. It's not the matter of not going to hell, it's a matter of if you want to accept god's love to not go to hell. Please take this advice seriously, because it is crucial.

No, there is none.

In Christianity, being "saved" means you are destined to Heaven and live peacefully in joy and harmony for all eternity.

Being "not saved" means you are going to burn in Hell with flames and a lake of fire for all eternity.

To be "saved", you have to "have a personal relationship" with the "one, true, and only god".

However, they're all manmade lies, so you don't have to worry.

As to your other questions, you have to look at both sides of the coin to find out what the Bible teaches about mankind's nature, God's saving work, and the responsibility of humans to cooperate with God when He saves them.

Ephesians 2:1 And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience-- 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the body and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind.

4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ--by grace you have been saved-- 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.

8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast.

Romans 10:6 But the righteousness based on faith says, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 or "'Who will descend into the abyss?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).

8 But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim); 9 because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.
