As much as i'd like to believe that we have souls, the truth is that there is no proof it exists. so in that case, is all the 'deep' love that we feel nothing more than some chemical reactions? well i guess there will never actually be an answer to this, but at least what is your opinion?

i almost think, if we're just a bunch of chemicals, there is no point to life!?

Some one once asked if we Atheist would believe in God if we saw him. We said yes, all we need is proof. Now my question is: would Christians not believe in God if they didn't see him?

Jesus said that love is giving to the needy, feeding the hungry, helping the injured, etc. God does none of this. God watches the hungry starve, knowing he could do something. So if God is loving doesn't that mean the same love Jesus was talking about? If not, it is totally meaningless to call God loving.

For example when I say I have a hand, properties which include/define me having a hand is.

* It is attached to my arm
* It has veins and blood running through it
* It has fingers... etc... etc... etc...

1 property that I use to define existence is that which is in spacetime. I have many others but am eager to hear your defining properties.

My claim is that no theist can give me a property which is an adequate attribute of existence that applies to Himself and God.
The statement "I exist, and God exist" is not compatible. Because the properties which define existence apply to one "I" but not to the other "God"?

One way of surpassing semantics and getting to the root meanings of "certain" terms is to define the properties of that term. At times simple definitions will not do we have to get to the properties. Once we do this it is clear that the statement "God exists" is meaningless.

Or perhaps I`am mistaken and a theist will prove me wrong?

A butcher is leaning on the counter toward the close of day when a dog with a basket in its jaws comes pushing through the door.

"An' wot's this then?" he asked. The dog knocks the basket sharply into the butcher's shins.

"You dumb dog." As he reaches down to smack the dog, he notices a note and a ten dollar bill in the basket.

The scribble on the note asks for three pounds of his best mince [ground beef]. The butcher figures this is too easy. He goes to the window and reaches for the dried up stuff that's been sitting out all day.

The dog growls at him. The butcher turns around and, glaring at the pup, gets the best mince from the fridge. Weighing out about 2 1/2 pounds, he drops in on the scale with his thumb.

"Hmmmmm, a bit shy. Who'll know?"

Again, the dog growls menacingly. "Alright, alright," as he throws on a generous half pound. He wraps it out, drops it in the basket, and drops in change from a five. The dog threatens to chew him off at the ankles. Another five goes in the basket.

The butcher is quite impressed and decides to follow the piddy pup home. The dog quickly enters a high-rise buildings, pushes the lift button, enters the lift, and then pushes the button for the 12th floor. The dog walks down the corridor and smartly bangs the basket on the door. The door opens, and the dog's owner screams at the dog.

"Hey, what are you doing? That's a really smart dog you've got there," comments the butcher.

"He's a stupid dog--that's the third time this week he's forgotten his key.

I have come to realize that the devil, Lucifer, whatever you want to call him was given the chore of tempting man by God himself.
Think of this...If God asked you to become the most hated thing in creation and tempt mankind would you?
I believe that the devil, Lucifer did just that. He so loved God that he took up this aweful chore because of this love for his father. I know what the Bible says about him but if you think about it makes sense. I dont worship the devil but i do recognize that he merely gives me the oppurtunity to do wrong he doesnt make me do wrong. He is said to have gone to war against God that means he doesnt fear him if he doesnt fear him why play games why not just destroy us? Because God only asked him to tempt us. The devil is the most evil because God asked him to be and of course like any GOOD angel he said yes. He will tempt man and try to get man to destroy himself because God asked him to. All this so mankind can prove themselves to God.heck of a sacrifice

Ok not trying to freak out anyone but occasionally I will be watching tv or looking at something and in the corner of my eye I swear I see like a person there but when I really look there is no one there!
And one time I was walking to the kitchen and I saw a little girl coloring on the floor and when I blinked and looked again there was no one there. And another time, I was home alone and I saw a little girl running through the hallway who looked a little like my little sister but she was at her friends house!
Then I also discovered that My stepdad's mother and little sister died in our house!
What do you think this means?? And I'm not making this up for those of you who are gonna say "Liar. Your stupid and you're making this up", don't waste your time on this. Answers are appreciated! please and thank you!

Example, if a very ugly guy or girl went up to Jesus before the prom and ask him how they looked, Would Jesus just comment on their inner beauty or would Jesus just come out and say, Wow, you are one ugly mother f#*&#@!

Or would Jesus lie to be nice and say, Wow, you look beautiful!
