Either face-to-face or online?

What was the outcome?

According to the Christian doctrine, Jesus died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. The idea here is that every human is born with sins, or that all humans will sin, and therefore it was necessary that someone as pure as Jesus would be the crucified to nullify these sins. The question is; why does anyone have to die for our sins when God, the All-Merciful, could as easily give us forgiveness if we ask for it? Isn't God the one who makes the rules? Why does He have to make someone suffer for our sins or for someone else's sins? Isn't that unjust of Him? According to the Bible the way to redemption could be obtained without the need for sacrifice. The Bible says:
Ezekiel 18:20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

June 5, 2012. Venus crosses the Sun. Probably a sign of hope. This would again be connected with this new Messiah figure who brings hope to the world.
12-12, Dec. 12, 2012, is (6 years, 6 months, 6 days) after 6-6-06, June 6 2006. 12 is the number of completion, as Christ had 12 disciples. So perhaps the cycle completes on 12-12-12, the Mayan Calendar transformation time. Astrologically unusual then is that 4 planets are at or near 8 degrees on Dec. 22 2012, near Christmas: Jupiter at 8 Gemini (Air sign), Saturn at 8 Scorpio (Water sign), Pluto at 8 Capricorn (Earth sign), Venus at 7 Sagittarius (Fire sign). So Earth/Air/Fire/Water, the 4 elements, and note that "888" corresponds to "Jesus" in Greek. This all adds up to a time of great change for the world
The 666 people live their lives without God, wholly according to adamic fallen human nature. In doing this, willingly or unwillingly, they are in Satan's grip. The 888 people are a total contrast. They follow the Lamb...

yesterrday at a crowded store, it was my turn at the deli counter. the man was waiting on me. as I moved along the counter, choosing things an elderly man with his cart was standing in my way. I politely told him I could not get passed to see what was behind the counter. he moved back about a foot. I told him I still couild not pass him, He says i am blind. I said ok can you move back please he yells i am at the end of the counter and you have plenty of room. I was not able to get where I needed to be to finish my order. I asked the counter man to send for the manager who came and moved the old man and his cart out of the way. The old man screamed and cursed me out. My question, did I do anything wrong. Could I have done qnything not to have a scene there?

Did you know Pride is a sin, and if you don't think you have sin, then there is sin right there, we all have sin, when we ask forgiveness even if we don't see it right there, when we accept Jesus Christ into our lives, We have the Holy Spirit, and we will be convicted of those sins, then we will realize it, WE ARE NOT PERFECT, CHRIST CAME IN THE FORM OF FLESH TO BE SPOTLESS AND AS A SACRIFICE FOR OUR SINS.

…I mean, for a non-Christian to do this makes perfect sense!
But why so many Christians…?

Some Christians would say that hell doesn’t even exist!
Some Christians would say that only Satan and other fallen angels go to hell, and none of mankind!
Some Christians would say that only a few number of people go to hell, and that eventually get out of hell!
Some Christians would say that hell only exists for a short time, and then all people there are erased from existence (annihilation)!
Some Christians would say that hell only means “separation from God” and seem to indicate hell is not so bad!
Some Christians would say that hell is nothing more than what this world currently is!

Where do we get this idea of mortal and veneal sins,

surely all sins carry the same price,

Adam ate a fruit and bougfht sin and death onto the world

How come his punishment and the resulting curse on all of mankind was far greater for eating a piece of fruit then it was for Cain who killed his own brother

lets weigh it up

eating a bit of fruit- vs murder

surely by your catholci reckoning the murderer is the more guiltier and should spend further time in purgatory

if that's the case why did cain not recieve a much harasher punishment then that which adam incured...the destruction of paradise?

isn't it written

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Matthew 19

which of the 10 commandments is the smallest?

the 1st,

the second?

or do they all carry the same penalty?

I really want to believe but I just can't. I'm trying but I don't know how. I follow the teachings of the bible. It seems to me that most christians have that defining point in their life that made them realize what they were doing was wrong and then truely accept Jesus so that they can be forgiven for there sins. The problem is I don't. I've been goody goody my whole life. I not trying to sound all high and mighty but I just don't think I have any sins to be forgiven for beside the ones I inherited when I was born because of adam and eve. And when i tried to ask for forgiveness for those I don't know how to ask for forgiven for sin I don't really understand how I recieved them.

My cousin is a waiter by day and a bartender at night. Makes decent money for the most part, but he tells me that at least twice a day he gets a group of adults who don't tip. He assures me that he does do a good job and still receives nothing. Is it not common decency to leave something in return for a service. I even leave tips on the beds of hotels when I check out.

Reading verse 5-6 it clearly explaings that to be born of water is to be born flesh & born from above is to be born spiritual. (foundational)
vrse 8 that it is hard to see with human eyes who is born of the Spirit.
That Jesus, the Son of Man (humanity), had to be lifted up like the serpent was lifted for Moses (because of mans sin).. And whosoever believes in Him willl not perish but have eternal life. (Believing that Jesus in His humanity shed His blood for remission of mankind's sins.) (Foundational)

Both verse 15+16 say that believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life (double emphasis).

That who is condemn is he who doesn't believe in the name of the only begotten Son of God. Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. (It is Foundational to believe Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God).

That the condemnation is the light came to us & men loved darknes more than light because their deeds were evil. Evil doers hate & avoid the light.

And that over 4/5 of the population is Christian?

The U.S. was founded by Deists who wanted freedom of and from religion, because they already lived in a Christian country (UK) where those beliefs were shoved down their throats and they could be killed at any given time if the monarchy wished. That means they were not Christian, nor was the country founded on such principals. Why create history that never existed?

Also, just because someone says they are a Christian doesn't make it so.

Theists, can you at LEAST give atheists enough respect to not say God is in everyone? We atheists do not have any god, much less whatever god you believe in, stamped in our hearts from birth. There is no belief instilled in us. We aren't denying your "truth". Can't you understand that? Even if this message is loving to you, it's still imposing your belief on others. What ever happened to fairness?
