Well, the last time I checked my heart couldn't think or speak for itself. Maybe you have a magical heart, but I sincerely doubt it.

Anyway, when I look at Jesus I think about what an amazing scam that has been perpetrated on mankind. There will never be a bigger bunch of nonsense this world will ever see that's greater than the nonsense that is Jesus, God or the bible.

By the way, say hello to your heart for me, will ya?

No, we don't.

Nobody even knows what Jesus of Nazareth looked like anyway. There are no contemprary portraits, busts, or even physical descriptions of Jesus.

Do you get an emotional reaction when you look at a painting of Odin, Zeus, or the Serpent God? Consider that question and you'll see how stupid your question looks to us.

MEMO TO SOME OF THE OTHER RESPONDENTS: You most certainly do feel things in your heart, and in your guts. Cf. Molecules of Emotion by Candace Pert.

He was an important person, and his followers established the most wide spread religion on earth, but all that is obsolete now, as all religions are dying out.
And by the way, Muhammad, also a real person, did a very similar thing, and he did it himself, not through his fol;lowers, post humus. and the same goes for the Buddha.
NOW why should I have any feeling for Jesus in particular.

of course I do... I also love the "picture of Jesus" song by Ben Harper. But there's a big difference between emotional connection and belief... many fictional stories are extremely important to me emotionally, but that doesn't mean I believe they actually happened. To me there is not much difference between Jesus and Gandalf. (Ok, there probably was a historical Jesus but you get the point)

I guess it's pretty much the same difference between your feelings when you look at a picture of Muhammad and a Muslim's feelings when they look at a picture of Muhammad. If you don't believe in that particular figure, sure, your feelings are probably going to be weaker compared to a person that does.

Do you sense that nagging sensation of certainty creeping around on your heart and head, changing those delousional recommendations of a splendid being? Theres evidence of evolution wheres the evidence of god (and dont say the bible thats no longer evidence thats a tale like a million flew over the cookoos nest or winne the pooh)

No special feelings. A picture of Jesus makes me smile. He's always depicted as white even though he came from the Middle East.

Nope. nothing.

All you have is the feeling that you put there because you have been told to.

BTW, ALL my feelings are in my head. My heart is an organ that pumps blood around my body. My brain is the organ that is capable of thought, including all the emotions.

no, atheists don't likely have any feelings for jesus in THEIR hearts. they may respect some of the teachings attributed to him, (there are a lot of good things in most religions), but they are unlikely to get a warm fuzzy feeling inside when you see a picture of him.. (or rather some white european dude pretending to be him... just once can we get an accurate approximation?!)

Many agnostics don't either.
And guess what that "not understanding" thing works both ways cause I can not grasp feeling love for someone you don't know, never spoke to or never seen.

Should I feel love for Mona Lisa as well?
