properly understand Judiasm and its understanding of Jesus. Please, only answer if you really know or if you are Jewish. As a Catholic, I am tired of hearing people faslely educate others here on R&S on Catholicism when they are not Catholic and don't have the slightest clue about it and are only out to spread hatered, rumors and lies...so I am sure the Jewish faith would appreciate only accurate answers as well.

I'm constantly being told "you gotta have faith". Thanks, George Michael, but why should my faith be invested in the Biblical Abrahamic deity? Perhaps it makes more sense to me to have faith in Quetzalcoatl, or Kokopelli, or Ninsun, or Ra, or Freya, or Neptune, etc.

Is THAT faith acceptable to you, or did you REALLY mean to say that I need to "have faith" in what YOU (in faith) believe to be "the truth"? Did you really mean to say that your faith is the only VALID faith because (as you believe in faith) your god is the only "true" god?

And somehow your faith trumps my faith, even if I believe just as strongly and with as much conviction as you that my god(s) is/are the only true god(s)..... right? Because your faith tells you that your god really IS the only true god...... so I must be wrong. Right?

Someone tell me why it is that Christianity is being pulled into the middle of this nasty thing with right wing extremists. Why are certain so-called Christians partaking in the distribution of video games for children that are supposed to be Christian but have you kill the wacky protesters in the game. Since when did Jesus say kill anyone, let alone a protester to the war. What is this turning into a Hitler youth camp? I love Jesus. But why do you guys have to use him as a soapbox to spread your hate? If you are spreading hate then maybe you should find something else spread it with, a different group of people. And for Christians falling into this, take a good look at what you are promoting. Are you promoting hate or love?

Why do Christians have this intense need to prove that they are right and everyone else is wrong? I know what I believe, but I don't need to ask everyone around me to agree with me in order to be comfortable with my beliefs.

If you believe that people that are not a part of your religion will not be able to go to heaven then what about people that are not exposed to your religion?

Is it Politically correct to call Muslims terrorist. Of course it is not. That is why it is always followed with but not all of them are. The majority are Not.
Yet, when it comes to the Christians. All priest are guilty of abusing kids! Why the double standards? and when someone makes a remark making fun of priest, they get laughs.

our religion,religion of islam teaches us to act justly,to be kind with others,&to be honest &many other moral values.but my mom some times says to me to be rude with maid,or to lie with my father so that he there 'll be no trial at house(dispute) &other things. but the problem is that when my house maid do sth wrong (little thing)my mom shout at her badly,i don't know why she treates maid in bad way,even she says to me to shout at her,but i really don't know what to do at that time as my religion teaches me to be kind,polite,mercy with maid at the same time it teaches us to listen to our parents,to be patience with them,to be kind...etc except we should not listen to them when they ask us to be polythiest.

It doesn’t matter how loving and humble a Christian is…
If they mention the word “hell” when proclaiming the good news, many others are filled with this image of a “Bible-thumping, hell-fire preaching, angry, madman telling everybody that they are going to hell!”

Its really quite odd. When I became an atheist in college, this image would pop into my head when I thought about Jesus…and other Christian zealots. Why?

I mean, here is the truth: God created us and commands us to be perfect and holy as He is. But, none of us are. We all sin. And we all deserve to die and go to hell. BUT, God is SO gracious and loving and merciful and benevolent that He became man and willingly laid down His life to pay the penalty for OUR sins – satisfying His JUSTICE – and in so doing FREELY offers salvation to all who would turn to Him in repentance, pleading for mercy, and accepting the “terms” of His offer of eternal salvation…

So, He turns away NO ONE.
His “offer” stands for ANYONE.

Does anybody else just LOVE country music? It send the True message of today's Christianity, that you can be as filthy and immoral as you want, but as long as you blurt out "I love Jesus" at socially inappropriate times, you're still somehow a good person--I cannot wait for Daryl Singletary's new one:
