I'm not a hating Christian, so I can't answer for any hating Christians. I will just say this: The loudest, most vocal members of any movement are 1) seldom representative of the rank and file, 2) the most extreme and 3) the ones everybody seems to remember, unfortunately.
A muslim speaker on NPR a couple of days ago said he had to learn in his own life to separate the religion of Islam from the political entity "Islamists". I think the American Christian Right needs to do the same thing. There are people who are basically decent and good supporting all kinds of criminality and mayhem because some extremists have told them it's part of the entire package of what they believe, none of which can be excluded or examined by itself. That's just wrong, whether you're a Muslim or a Christian.

First of all, I am going to have to make some assumptions here. I assume you are talking about the "Left Behind" video games, since those are the only ones that come to mind when you talk about violent christian video games. Having read a few of the Left Behind series, I would be led to believe that the killing in those games would mirror the sanctioned killings in the book of those of reprobate mind who cannot be brough into the church, so I'll give my reply to the question I believe you're asking.
If the Christians are promoting violence to kids, it is NO DOUBT to broaden the appeal of Christianity to today's kids. When I was a kid, it was done with Christian Wrestlers and Christian Athletes and Christian Musicians. Those people were doing something that got the kids interested in being at church. Now, the bait it a violent video game.
I predict the day will come when people will come to church for porn and cigarettes.
That's where we're headed.

If R&S is any indicator, I'd say that some Christians are definitely promoting hate. And there's always been a strong correlation between Christianity and supporting the political interests of the rich and powerful. I think that because of their belief that obiedience to God makes you a better Christian, they incorrectly assume that obiedience to the powerful makes you a better patriot.
What video game are you referring to? I'm curious...

You rock! Go girl! I don't imagine that Jesus would be pleased that so many so-called Christians spread hate in His name.

It has to do with having an excuse to hate. It is another form of prejudice. In order for "the message" to be nullified in the mind of the unbeliever, it is necessary to marginalize "the messenger". They are just proving Jesus' words in John 15
“Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you. If they kept My word, they will keep yours also. But all these things they will do to you for My name’s sake, because they do not know Him who sent Me. If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin, but now they have no excuse for their sin. He who hates Me hates My Father also."
"And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed." - John 3

I think that if I were you I'd make sure I knew exactly what Blackwater was before I started pairing it with Nazism.
You're being awfully cavalier about a profession that's suffered many casualties.
