I would think he would be Liberal which isn't necessarily Democrat but not Republican either. He would be for a lot of welfare and equal rights programs. But he would also want a certain amount of morality - not necessarily legislated but would like people to come to it on thier own. He might be against abortion but - would probably not want laws to enforce anything. Would not go for excesses in government. So perhaps Libertarian but I would say Independant.

This question has been asked quite a few times. Overwhelmingly the answer is neither. Why? Because they are both corrupt. I doubt he would be for the death penalty, Pro choice, right for people owning semi-automatic guns, taking care of people that can work but don't, and definitely against pointless wars.

Democrat, he was very big on helping the poor, giving out "welfare" in the form of fishes and loaves. Also, not a huge fan of banking and business, "It is easier for a camel to pass thru the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter heaven."
That is, if he got into politics at all. I think he'd probably be smart enough to dodge that bullet.

What's more important is what kind of car would he drive or what kind of tree he would be.
Jesus would be a libertarian and clearly see the red and blue devils for what they are, or do you believe Jesus would support abortion?

Neither. He supposedly said his kingdom was not of this world. But, he definitely wouldn't be a fan of the Religious Right.
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves."
"Woe unto you, [Religious Right Christian Fundamentalists]. Hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness."
