If you believe we evolved, then why do you think the different races of manking have evolved exactly the same? It would only make sence that along with the major physical appearences, that there are internal appearences in evolutionary differences, such as inteligence, emotional, and overall brain capacity. Evolving on different continents, literally REQUIRING a different capacity of the brain.

Those who believe in a devine creator (like myself) know that all mankind was created in gods image, and therefore contains the same spiuritual energy, and same capacity despite the physical appearence.

HOw can you believe in evolution, but say you feel one race is not physically more capable than the next?

THey want to do this so as not to offend any immigrants.
Should they just ask all British to leave the country and hand our country over to them ? Then we cannot offend anyone !

I always thought that christmas decorations were put up 12 days before christmas, and taken down 12 days after and if you kept them up to long or put them up to early then it was bad luck?
Hence the 12 days of christmas?
only saying because lots of people put up their decorations way early...

I read that if the energy of the Big Bang were different by 1 part in 10^120, then there'd be no life anywhere in the universe. Everything would be dust or collapsed. How do atheists respond to the argument that this is evidence of a divine creator?

Protesting a funeral??? Intruding on a family's mourning?
Incredibly disrespectful.

I approve of the verdict:

What can I do the so religious people in our family did terrible wrong thing to me in my life and behaving that they are wright and having bible and go to church often. They know that I will forgive them according to the Jesus doctrine. I didn't call them almost 1 year. They called me once in 6 months and talked to me how I am doing? I answered briefly... that's it. What they did to me ( I came to know after 5 years) they don't do it to their neighbours or their friends or thier church members. But they did to me because I am the last family member. I am so pissed off I don't have guts forgive them ever in my life.
Please tell me how to handle these religious people who is believing they are going to Paradise after thier death after doing all kind of **** to me.

I've seen some stuff on it before, but my dad sent me a list of comparisons between 1970 and 2007 in our schools.

It doesn't directly state it, but christians will many times use this as an example that god is gone in our country and so therefore the morals of our kids etc... has gotten worse.

Of course you could use any argument to support your claim. IE. The reason schools have more violence is directly related to the decrease in the amount of pirates on earth.

But anyways. Can anyone help me to respond to this allegation or point me to a site which goes into more detail about his.

It's not like we're all a bunch of Christians. Many of us are Jewish, Islamic, or Atheist. Why do Christians so carelessly assume that everyone is a member of their cult? Don't they know that it's more politically correct to wish someone a happy solstice?

Evolution put simply means to develop gradually so we all evolved. It seems to me that the arguements for and against evolution is rather pointless if we go on this definition. However in biology evolution appears to have a different meaning. Why is that and what exactly is the meaning within biology? I am religious and within my religion we are told that creation of our world took place and that it developed over time; evolution. So evolution is to me logical.

Isn't Jesus talking about Christians-on-the-cheap who have faith but no works? Doesn't he show us how faith ALONE cannot save us?

"Then he will say to those on his left, 'Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.'

"They also will answer, 'Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?'

"He will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.'

"Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life."

James 2:24: You see that a person is justified by what he does and not by faith alone.

What was actually suggested was to downgrade the religious aspect of the event, not banning it. This will not actually affect the meaning of the event for many people at all or the way they celebrate it.
The UK may nominally be a Christian country but what percentage of people are actually practising Christians (I bet the majorityof people shouting loudest about Christmas are not). Christmas was imposed by the Christian Church on a pagan popluation who celebrated a midwinter festival around mid December. Most Christian celebrations were placed over the top of existing pagan ones. So actually the celebration is December is actually a pagan celebration. Many of the traditions such as bringing evergreens into the home, eating an awful lot and giving gifts are straight out of the pagan midwinter celebration.

What is the agenda? The immigrants will still have their culture in their home country, but the culture hear will have to be destroyed to accomodate them. The UK is not exactly a blank canvas.

Not sounding stereotypical, but many of the home aides that I have seen are women usually Hispanic or from the Islands. All 3 of the aides that was assigned to my grandmother do not speak English well at all, 1 is from Puerto Rico and the other 2 are from Uganda.

Recently my grandmother fell in her apartment below us and had to be sent to the hospital the next morning. It was VERY hard getting the story from the aide working that day being that she speaks little to no English and very hard getting important, specific answers. I don't think we need to go through this communication gap in these emergencies.

You might be good at what you do but if you do not speak the language I speak how can we communicate in emergency cases or get to answer specific questions? This should not be the case. Do you agree?

I am sure you are aware that harems consist basically of one man that owns/weds as many women as he wants/can afford...

YES, this tradition is legal as well as expected in some of the Arabian countries, as well as several well-known religions through out the world...

WHY is there no religion or nation or culture in the world that will allow one woman to have more than one husband?

Firstly, wouldnt that solve the over-population factor?

Secondly, OH GOD, if anyone knows of a country that allows this, PLEASE, PLEASE, tell me! Im moving there! Thats all I ever dream about!

I don't know... brewing Love Potions, sending curses to your foes, founding a new school of Witchcraft and Wizardry (Hogwarts?! :P) or else?

I really want to call Blizzard all the time and build my own Palace of Ice! I'll be the Snow Queen, the White Witch, or whatever the name is! I'm not an evil figure.... just cunning enough to call winter all the time! Lol!! Anybody here want to live with me in my Palace of Ice...?

What about you then? What would you do FIRST with your magical ability?

I went to a Halloween party last night, and there was a guy there dressed up as a female cheerleader. Now, I am normally straight, but I must admit this guy was hot. He caught me staring at him a few times, and after a few drinks I had finally worked up the courage to strike up a conversation with him. He was very friendly and very flirty (he kept touching my arm after cracking a joke and referencing what was under his skirt).

Has this ever happened to anybody else, and does this mean I might be turning gay?
