What is right? and what is wrong in society?
Does a large number of people wanting to do something make it right? If i was born to want to do certain deviant things, if enough people feel the same way, does that make it "right"?

I wrote a questiong asking if you have to be Christian to not believe Evolution. Someone wrote back and said that a Christian can still believe in Evolution. Fundamentalists say that the only way Jesus could be is if through the line that started back then. This really confused me. So, if you have a strong opinion on HOW you can believe that Evolution is true (which is what I was taught) and still be a strong Christian, PLEASE tell me. Thanks

I mean, it was one thing for them as a group to ask people to accept them for who they are. It is a completely different thing for them to ask me to accept them as equal to or superior to straight people. Sorry, it is a character flaw.

I often tell people I am not so much religious as I am spiritual...I know what this means for me...but what do you view as the difference between being a spiritual person vs. being a religious person.

...over the past few months I've spent many hours with you as I've tried to pass time at work. And in that time I've laughed, have been inspired and/or my mind has been provoked. I've learned quite a bit about you all, but would like to know more. So without further ado, here's my question for you all:

What is something that you've always wanted to learn, but never have?

Myself, I've always wanted to learn how to skateboard. Now, I'm not just talking about being able to skateboard down the street. I'm talking about doing tricks and stuff...better than the guys who compete in the X Games. That'd be sweet!

I was looking up "The Wheel of Life" on the net and it came up with some images (itneractive tour of what it all meant) and I noticed that there is some stuff about heaven and hell in it.
Anyone have any insight?

*Question for Buddhists or people who have studied Buddhism - not interested in any other responses - thank you*

I am 12, but I decided to pass out candy instead of trick or treating. My first 2 trick or treaters were eighth graders from my school, but they just came with a pillowcase and that was it. They were dressed in normal clothes. That was it! No costumes! Their faces weren't painted or nothing. I couldn't believe it though, it used to annoy my mom and I seeing those teenagers knock on our doors with maybe a bandana and a little face paint, put absolutly no effort got me fired up. I gave them candy but now I regret it. My brother saw them from inside and he came out and told me that I should have kicked them off out yard with no candy. If someone like that knocked on your door on halloween what would you do?

It has to include all 66 books of the Bible but not the writings of CS Lewis or Max Lucado.

This question came up during a discussion about what differentiates Scripture from powerful, effective, life-changing Christian writers of today? Should we have a re-evaluation of the canon? For that matter, what separates Scripture from Apocrypha besides arbitrary decisions of an anti-Gnostic council?

do you ever wonder why some really stupid questions get starred? i mean not only was the question stupid, but someone other than the asker though it interesting enough to put a star on it? i just read one question that said making fun of religion is against the law, and asked why people do it? amazingly, it got a star. do people even bother to fact check anymore? making fun of religion is NOT against the law.

my family is catholic, my cousin married a jewish lady, has 2 kids, Their both Jewish, its theire relegion.
Its been a tradition that me, mom and sis go to my Aunts house for christmas every year, buy and recieve presents from her, her husband, two wives and my two cousins.
Why should i buy presents for kids who are Jewish and dont beleive in Jesus? it seems fake.
Also my cousins wife always acts like she doesnt want to be there, she always makes faces and tries to pick a fight with me. last christmas she yelled out to me, who do u think u are, dressed up? My other cousin is distant and just hides with hise wife, whispering to his wife,,then he starts bombadring me with personal questions like hes a judge, and im lying
Im 23 now and questioning all this, also i never see or hear from these people besides christmas.
Isnt it wrong to buy jewish people x-mas presents? why are they celebrating christmas with us.?
i think me, my mom and sis should end this tradition and do our own christma

I am a senior and I think Susie Q and Cherry p1 are quite right. I am fed up with the stupid jokes on here I want to talk about something
intelligent. I have had a boil on my foot for 6 months and the doctor is hopeless at trying to fix it. That is the things seniors should talk about, intelligent things. Well said Susie Q and Cherry P1.

I come from a Christian family. In my house we have never celebrated Halloween. Every Halloween, we keep all the lights off, so no one will come to our house.

I've been raised to never EVEr go to any sort of party on Halloween.

I've always wanted to dress up with a costume, but people only do costume parties on Halloween.

How will I ever get to go to a costume party that's not because of Halloween ?
