How does a pet dog or cat treat you that makes you "pals" for life - so to say?

Smoking IS an unhealthy habit, for the most part. Don't get me wrong. I know that. But I do think it's funny when nonsmokers who eat unhealthy food on a regular basis get all preachy when it comes to smoking. To make it even funnier, if you point out this contradiction, they rarely see what you're talking about.

I rarely ever smoke, btw. I enjoy an occasional cigar, but that's pretty much it.

I'm 19.. and I've been working full time for 3 years now. Basically, after 3 years I'm still on basics..to put it blunt, im used to train people up and then they are taken from me and I watch them excell above me.

I asked my boss the other day why I'm still on basics and that, and he simply said because he doesnt think im commited enough to the work in general.. please people.. i've been there for 3 years and turned down many a job offer that my boss knows of.. isnt this proof enough?

and everyone else earns more than me, im on £6.50.. which i know is good.. but the people i train, then who become higher than me go on to become more valuable than me due to my teaching.. and they earn about £9 an hour..

what should i do??

new job or isn't there a rule book that says its unethical??..

We (me and my family) are having strange occurances in our house, nothing pure evil but odd noises and lights/t.v. switching off. a feeling someone is there, stuff going missing. Doors will open on their own slowly, our cat shot across the room like someone had kicked him, his hair was on end and he walked around the edge of the room spookily. Are we mad or have we got an entity? We are open minded, but is this coincidence or have we got a ghostly presence? We live in rochdale lancashire, can any of you guys do a spitual clearance, thanks.

Is it because the good peaceful neighborhoods have more Atheists?

In bad violent neighborhoods, I received threats and diry looks

I received threats in Compton, CA. (Mostly black people and filled with churches and gangs)

I received compliments in Belmont shore, CA.
(Mostly white people and I didn't see any churches or gangs)

ok the thing is for my honors reading i had to read a fantasy book and then do this writing thing for it and it is do tomarrow, i havent read the whole book. but here is the catch, i have read the book 6 times and i know everything and almost remember everything that is needed to write the fill out thing for the book. Should i say i read it and get full credit? or should i fill it out and tell my teacher that i havent read the book(its the book of the month, i have a genre that i have to read and i choose HP and you have to read it, like during the month the genre is due.) and get 50% off, or worse.what should i do?(i am in 7th grade)

My in laws openly disapprove of my husband's and my marriage. It's been over 3 years and they will not approve, will not speak to me, and will not make attempts to be civil. What would you do? Try and put up with it silently? Cut them out of your lives? I have tried to be kind and do everything to make a good impression and get along, but a year and a half ago, after enduring verbal abuse from mother in law, I gave up and we currently do not speak with them anymore.
