Negative spirits do exist and sometimes are contained in human bodies. If you are a very strong moral character, and are into changing the world, you have to be good at transforming negative energy to more positive energy. So you should try to reach everyone, and inspire them to be better. I do not believe in a devil, but there are lot of immoral abusive people here on the earth today, that we need to work at transforming. I hope some people are strong enough spiritually to take on this challenge. Meditate/pray, do mind-body exercises, eat healthy, and don't over indulge, and maybe you can get strong enough, to take on a devil-like character and tranform him/her.

Could the devil be your ego... your perceived capacity to know that which is good and that which is evil?
Do you judge Jews, Christians or Muslims as less good or even worse .... evil. (Chose which ever of the two you are not associated with.)
Maybe you talk to the devil every day because in a real way it is you or your ego that connects you to the devil.
hmmmmmm... think about that for a min.
kinda scary huh?
But..... maybe the realization that the connection to evil is through your own choices of judgement..... maybe that realization may lead you to the state of consciousness before the fall..... Before eating of the tree of knowlege of good and evil....
Tell me ... how badly do you wish to see the garden again?
There is a path ya know and your body does not have to die to see it.
"The Kingdom of Heaven is spread out before men.... but they do not see it." : Jesus.
Blessings and peace to all,
all in all,
B

'Devil' is just the Greek word that the Bible uses meaning 'slanderer', just as in the Hebrew the word 'satan' was used meaning 'accuser' or 'adversary'. These words were left untranslated in our Bibles and so have taken on a supernatural importance.
Sometimes churches have used the threat of the devil to cause fear in peoples' hearts to make them cooperate or subdue them.
The Bible deals with this in a figurative way 'the devil as a roaring lion..' The serpent is referred to as 'the old serpent called the devil'
So, I suppose we come up with a number of adversaries and false accusers in our lifetimes.
But as the Bible says 'Love your enemies....'
thereby heaping 'coals of fire' upon their heads.

Astrology, mediums, fortune telling, lending an ear to lies, church unscriptural traditions. There are many ways people can listen to the Devil and turn away from talking to God.

You're confused. While Lucifer isn't all-powerful, he is a formidable spirit: superior to humans in every respect. Condescension to the Prince of Darkness would be borderline insanity!

I am pretty sure the devil has to lower himself to speak at our level. He's gotta be smarter than us right? Otherwise he wouldn't be a very good boogeyman. You know, if he actually existed.

It is not a lowering of position to confront a fear. I would avoid doing it were it up to me but if I had to I would not be lowering myself in doing so but rather arming myself to do so.

I'd talk to him.. I think he'd be more interested to look at than God.. I think God's rays and bright blue background would damage my eyes when i return to Earth.. like what happens when you go out into snow first thing in the morning..

No way would I talk to the devil, except to tell him to get from behind me, in Jesus' name and he would have to flee.

* HAD to? Explain a circumstance where I would be talking to the devil - knowingly, that is. I mean, I'm talking to you and I don't know you. You could be anybody (see statement above).
