I've never seen such blatant disrespect, ever. It's awful some of the things I read on here, especially when it comes to people searching for psychics. You get the people who don't believe in the supernatural, yet are completely fine to force their religions on you. Seriously, it's disgusting. If people feel the need to reach out in the ways of pyschics, let them.

These people have the capacity to put faith in something, yet cannot seem to accept that other people put their faith in something else, and treat them like scum.

I'm appalled, really. Does anyone else feel the same?

I've never really had aquaintanes or friends, I'm tired of seeing commericals, shows or anything that mentions it. I've tired to be myself when really it just ends up in an awkward scilence. I'll try to "mimic" a person and the conclusions don't come as near as they say it does. My question is, is there such a thing being friendless?

Not just the usual helping out in a nursing home or serving soup to homeless people. I need some really creative ideas. I like to paint, draw, write, and play volleyball, so anything that incorporates any of those things in would be great. thanks!

...and it's all inevitalbe anyhow, why are these same Christians trying to stop Iran from getting nukes? After all, if God's really in control and everything is going to happen the way He plans it, then it's logically impossible for Iran to nuke Israel! Do these Christians think that fate can be cheated? And if it DID happen, would they say "Oops, guess God was wrong?" (I realise a lot of Christians DON'T believe this... this question is about those who DO!)

well my whole family's russian, and yet they cant help me. they're useless pieces of ****! so ive come to yahoo answers with my problem... so tomorrow i got a russian final. my teacher's gona give us words to write and she didnt tell us what they were gona be(all other times she did) anyway... i need to know the rule or w.e for when to put the soft sign and when not to, same with the hard sign.

i really dont wana fail this, i got a pretty low mark for my first term, and im pretty pised that no one can help me with such a simple question!

the Devil? I was watching Constantine today, and got to thinking, what if God was the "Devil", and he was the evil being? I mean, the Bible teaches against temptation, but couldn't God, in a sense, be a temptation? We want His love, and if we "sell our soul (go to church, worship him, surround our life around Him)" to Him, we will go to heaven to be with Him. What if it turns out that the Devil is who we were supposed to worship in the first place, and that he would bless us if went against temptation and jumped off the bandwagon, but professed our faith to such an unlikely being.

Any thoughts?

I don't mean to sound immature, but I'm 24 & my friend's sister is 17. She terrorizes everyone, & everybody is scared of her. She has severe ADHD, & she's a bully. She does things so fast she can do 20 things in 1 minute, & she's hyper, unstoppable, & unpredictable. She came to my house the other day-UNinvited & went straight to the freezer & took one of my frozen pizzas without my permission. She microwaved it & when she was eating it, she started smacking in my ear on purpose just to agitate me & see me lose my temper so she can laugh. She knows my ears are sensitive & that I have Tourette's. So when she did that, my gut instinct was to slap the pizza out her hand. & when it fell on the floor, she wanted to fight me. I was scared.

It it ok to:
1) Believe in Mother Nature instead of God
2) Celebrate Halloween
3) be mean and religionist to anyone not Christian
4) Ask for proof of Jesus, like the cross he was crucified on with 'Jesus' engraved on it

Now I would also like to know what your opinion is on this: Should I be atheist, Quaker like I was born and raised, or worship Mother Nature? Also looking into being wicca?

Serious question, I want to learn: What would happen if a Muslim women wanted to attend the mosque not wearing hajab (in North America)? Would she be removed? Can Muslim women claim to be Muslim if they do not practice Hajab? Anyone here who does this? How do people react? Is it true that Christianity also once promoted covering? Is it possible that although God/Allah wants us all to dress modestly, it was MAN who misunderstood and manipulated that passage to mean that women must be covered from head to toe?

I had an MRI today. I am so claustraphobic if more than 3 people get into an elevator with me I get off. I never used an elevator until after my accident. If a sweater got stuck on my head I have been known to shred it in my panic.

Today I had an MRI. He had to put me in, take me out, four times, because each time I panicked, I kept talking to myself saying "I can do this, I will do this" AND I managed to calm my panic, control my feelings of being in a coffin, get a grip, not go insane -

And you are in there for an hour. For the first half an hour he kept stopping and asking if I was still ok.

Goldwing the noise WAS just like walking down the street in China. :-) After awhile I could hear the stupid machine saying "words" - chanting them - it was funny. "peanut butter peanut butter peanut butter" then "buddha buddha buddha" "knock that, knock that, knock that" Funny how if you let go of your conscious mind and just drift what you can "hear" :-) I dozed off too

One day a while ago at my work I was with some co-workers who are Jehovah's Witnesses and the subject of Mel Gibson's "Passion" movie came up, and all the JW's went on about how it was just another thing in pop culture that was sinful, basically their tone about the whole thing was that they didn't like it and that it was a bad thing in regards to their religion. I didn't want to ask them directly why they felt the way they did because I didn't want to take the chance of offending them.

that atheists would rather go to Hell than to be with us "uptight" Christians. So I ask the Atheist, "what are you bringing to the barbecue?"
And Christians, "What do you plan to bring for the wedding supper?"

and was asking about why we thank GOD good things and when bad things happen we dont say ooh look what God did

OK i got alot of good answers but it prompts me to ask this q now, ALOT of you stated (and i do agree) that when bad thing happen God could be wanting us to learn to draw closer to him etc...
and many of you always say that we are suppossed to learn from our sufferings and etc.
what i want to know is what a child who is molested is suppose to ''learn'' from that???????alot of you are always quick to suggest that when one is suffering it was bought on by them selves....so im very interested to know about the molested child??
