There's a girl that I started talking to since we haven't talked in over a year. She'd stare at me the whole time we never talked. Well I started back talking to her, and at first she'd just ignore me in person (we talked on messenger). If she looked at me, she'd have a shy fit; she blushes and looks away or bites her lip when she used to see me. Well she blushes occasionally when she sees me now, but not much. Well now she only talks to me when she wants something such as: homework help, me to carry something to a class for her, or school stuff etc. Today, I walked into the office where she's an assistant, and I didn't look at her and didn't speak to her cause I figured I'd ignore her now. Then I said something stupid on purpose as I walked out the door, and she laughed. Is she worth talking to or what since the only time she talks to me is when she wants something. Well sometimes, she says my name and smiles at me, that's about it.

"Common negative perceptions include that present-day Christianity is judgmental (87%), hypocritical (85%), old-fashioned (78%), and too involved in politics (75%)...

"One of the most frequent criticisms of young Christians was that they believe the church has made homosexuality a 'bigger sin' than anything else."

"A decade ago the vast majority of Americans outside the Christian faith, including young people, felt favorably toward Christianity’s role in society. Currently, however, just 16% of non-Christians in their late teens and twenties said they have a "good impression" of Christianity...The ...study shows that only 3% of 16- to 29-year-old non-Christians express favorable views of evangelicals."

WHAT ARE THE BEST RESPONSES AVAILABLE TO THOSE WHO REMAIN IN THE CHURCH?

There are many questions here that seem to be mainly for the purpose of airing a viewpoint on the part of the questioner, and the purpose seems to be mainly for you to agree with him or her. Do you avoid answering such questions?

Do you avoid answering questions where the questioner is obviously hostile to your viewpoint and you feel sure that he or she will not listen? Or do you answer questions that you feel you know the answer to regardless of how the answer will be perceived?

Just curious. Thanks!

Well, I am an atheist but I admire some of the characteristics of religious people. Most of them are honest and polite. I wonder how well they would do in politics? At least I am expecting them to be honest -- no corruption, or ganging up on someone. Of course then we have to contend with things like stem cell research and bible in schools, but maybe it would be worth it if it cleans up the political system.

and differentiate them from God? It seems that they do not understand that the laws aren't just constraints. They are the basic reality that allows us to operate. They define the possibilities. Even if we are in the supernatural, in the domain of God, nothing is possible without order, without intelligence, without laws.

Clearly, the Christians do not believe that God is chaotic, without order. They believe that He is intelligent, expresses order, etc. As total and unlimited as he can be, His intelligence is the expression of some laws. These laws must always have been with God, because He was eternally intelligent.

Moreover, there cannot be two set of fundamental laws, the laws of nature and the laws of God. Otherwise,. even more fundamental laws would be needed to connect them, which would be a contradiction with the nature of God. So, the fundamental laws behind God are the fundamental laws of nature. There is only one ultimate reality and that is God eternally with the laws.

I am Hindu and always respected other religions...but how do you feel about all the religions out there other than yours?

Do you feel your religion is true? Do you belive other religions are true? WHat is your religion? WHat do you have to say about the people who worship Jesus CHrist, Allah, Guru Nanak, Vishnu, etc? Do you think that some people are trying to force others to convert their religion in the U.S.?

I'd like a description with more detail than a phrase. How does it relate to "Speaking in Tongues", and when is a person eligible to experience this?

If God is all powerful and all good, then Satan must be a part of God...but if Satan is sepearte, then God obviously has a piece of the universe he can't control. So is God good, bad...or both?

Halloween's now around the corner. Christmas has its own carols, and Halloween also has its own music that you would hear at a Halloween party. If I can think about what are the perfect Halloween songs to include in my playlists, then I'll say My Chemical Romance songs such as "Dead!" and "The Ghost Of You" due to their horror musical themes such as vampires and blood.

What about you? What are your perfect Halloween songs? Please list your examples, like certain songs that contain Halloween-sounding words in its song titles.

Is it just me or are Americans very shy about meeting their neighbors compared to people in other countries? I've seen people in Asia and Europe are usually close friends with their neighbors, have neighborhood parties, visit each other's houses, etc. I never see this in the US, even in tighter quarters like apartment buildings. Any explanations?

A show called Reaper, about Satan himself. A show called Moonlight, about a vampire who is a creature of Satan. Supernatural, with Satanic elements all over it. Why have we let Satan take control? Should good Christian people stop watching television to stop Satan's tricks?

spreading the word of God

Can you imagine, if that's all that all humans did during life, so it was just a big circle of evangelizing (and basically redundant), THEN what would be the meaning of life beyond that? There has to be more to life than just being a SALESMAN!

Furthermore, isn't having no other purpose than being a "vessel" just being USED?

Please give the source of your answer.
Joel 2
1 Blow the trumpet in Zion;
sound the alarm on my holy hill.
Let all who live in the land tremble,
for the day of the LORD is coming.
It is close at hand-

2 a day of darkness and gloom,
a day of clouds and blackness.
Like dawn spreading across the mountains
a large and mighty army comes,
such as never was of old
nor ever will be in ages to come.

3 Before them fire devours,
behind them a flame blazes.
Before them the land is like the garden of Eden,
behind them, a desert waste—
nothing escapes them.

4 They have the appearance of horses;
they gallop along like cavalry.

5 With a noise like that of chariots
they leap over the mountaintops,
like a crackling fire consuming stubble,
like a mighty army drawn up for battle.

6 At the sight of them, nations are in anguish;
every face turns pale.

I'm sorry that you've been abused with so called "believers". I'm sorry that you've had the message shoved down your throats.
I'm sorry that it feels like no one cares about what you think, they just want to "convert" you.
I'm sorry for all the negative messages you've recived from Christians.
But, here's the thing. Thats not God. God is Love. So please, give us another chance. Give God another chance.
