I have never witessed a fire of the magnitude that you are referring to, but I was horrified to see an apartment building on fire this summer. I will not even say that I can imagine being near a fire that is sweeping over such a large area. I know I would be terrified, and many people are not able to get in touch with loved ones which would be my worst nightmare. I am praying.

I have numerous times before I moved to Sydney. I once had a client with a personality disorder whose new house had just been completed. It was a timber house which he painted with an oil based lacquer. A large bush fire sent a fire ball leaping across 100m of water to incinerate it in a matter of minutes. The only one to go up that day! This wasn't good for a client suffering from schizophrenia but a new house was built and he dealt with the issues bravely. Life goes on.
More devastating than this property damage is the loss of precious objects and keepsakes. I wish them well.

I live only an hour and a half from those fires- actually 45 minutes from the theme park that was almost hit. So yes I need to be praying for those out there!

Oh, I know how terrible it is honey! All summer long Greece burned. I know it's natures way a cleansing, but thousands of people lost their homes and lives, and in a time when we can't afford to lose any more trees...my thoughts are with my fellow Californians and the redwoods.

any fire is a very scary thing...
you just never know whats going to happen.
