Exactly, stop judging God by what is in a book or by what people do. Just know in your heart it's a huge difference between what God does and what people do. No true God-knowing individual would represent God to you that way. God knows you and loves you... unconditionally the way you are, where you are and who you are. That's that. Forget what people do and say.

Who said I hate Christians?
Just because I'm not Christian, that doesn't mean I hate God or his followeres. They are pretty damn misdirected but that isn't why I'm not christian.
I respect most Christiand I know. It's the weird ones that need to shut up. But hell, most Christians I know feel the same way.

That is kind of you, but they must accept responsiblity for their actions; it is not your burden. I believe that no one can take the responsibility for someone else, which is why I do not accept the belief that christ died for my "sins".
I do not blame or hate god for anything, just as you do not hate Quetzacoatal for any hardships in your life.
I am open to the idea of god, but I have a minimum set of requirements to believe. Simply, I need evidence that a god or gods may exist.

I gave the Christian God a chance for the first twenty-one years of my life. That was long enough.
But I appreciate your apology for the bad conduct of your fellow Christians, and I thank you for it.
(And I suppose I should add that I do NOT hate Christians. Some of them annoy me, but I think that most of them are good people who are just trying to do what they think is right.)

As Christians we need to take our name very serious. It is about showing love, not hate to everyone no matter how hard the truth is. But no matter how hard we try to show love sometimes, some may nevre accept it from us.
Your heart is in the right place. Arguing about God is not what we are suppose to do. I to have love for all.

I find it nice you attempted to apologize for what Christianity has done, but even so, the most it does is show there are open minded, nice christians out there.
Thanks for the regards, but most atheists like me have thought deeply about this thing. It isnt like we wake up one day and say "Hey, we are going to be atheists"
Just simply not how we roll ;)

we know that not all christians think we'll burn in hell/want us to, and we don't hate christians for their beliefs (at least not most of us) it's the beliefs we hate, because, try as we might, we can not get them to make sense.

Thanks for the apology...
However it's not just your deity of choice I don't believe exists but all deities...
Maybe I should give Zeus, Poseidon or Ra a chance.. Then again maybe you should as well...

Your politically correct lukewarm Christianity was rejected by Jesus Christ Himself.
Read Revelations.
Then start focusing your efforts more on saving men's souls; and less on sparing their feelings.
