Absolutely no question in my mind.
Television is basically an in-your-home evil maker.
Take a look at 'Bowling Alone' sometime by Robert Putnam.
Statistical Facts:
1. Since the rise of Television youth suicide has shot up astronomically, social connectivity is down in every area of our culture, divorce rates have gone up, violent crimes against children and women have gone up.
2. Television is proven to increase aggression in children, stunt learning skills and retard socialization.
3. Television, by decreasing socialization isolates people, is proven to produce depression and other forms of mental illness.
I have completely cut myself off of the Networks and we don't have cable. I watch one news program about twice a week, and we have videos of movies & shows that we like and think are wholesome. And we limit our intake of those. We've been living this way for about a year and are happier and more at peace.
If everyone who objected to Television stopped watching it, Hollywood would come grinding to a halt.
It can happen.
They only make the stuff because we pay them to.

You've obviously never watched "Moonlight" and are assuming out of ignorance and bias that all the vampires on the show are evil "creatures of Satan". The protagonist in "Moonlight" happens to be a good guy (Private Investigator) who fights crime, gets his blood from a blood bank and only bites consenting adults.
If you don't like it, just don't watch it. Ratings still rule.

Us not watching television is for our benefit so we don't have that coming into our minds and hearts; but us not watching it won't stop the devil from doing it. We all just need to form prayer groups about it; that God will do something to end it. I'm radical. I'd love to see Christians take this nation back for God. I'd love to see every x rated video store demolished, every porn magazine burned up. But we will see that when God destroys the earth at the end. All the sin of mankind will be burned up. In Luke Jesus says "how I wish the earth was already kindled."

yes. well, the people who made the shows don't seem to be Christians. so, it is for us Christians to do our part by not watching these types of shows... do something more worth your time like reading your bible...Christ cast out demons & evil spirits...and the Holy Scriptures said that even Satan shall be brought down to hell (Isaiah 14:12-15,king james)......knowing GOD is more important than other things.

A very good question. It is important that we not feed off of false ideology. It is bad for your spiritual health. Jesus said.'If you abide in me and I abide in you,you will know the truth and the truth will set you free.' Agood discipline for christians is to not invest in sinful pursuits. Buying halloween stuff, alcohol, gambling, even christmas trees and chocolate easter bunnies have nothing to do with christianity. Overeating and sporting and music events can sap your pocketbook and rob you of God's blessings. Better to invest our resorces wisely for Jesus and get a 'well done faithful servant' when He returns.

What do you want TV to be, a bunch of Leave it to Beavers and shows about good Christians? Please. Drama sells. Conflict sells. Not God, no Jesus. And BTW, there's no such thing as Satan so you can stop panicking now.
