If someone was born by Catholic parents, christened and even had a communion, but wishes as an adult to resign from being a Catholic, does this person need to take any " legal" steps to do this? I heard that just stopping going to church and not believing is not enough, that the person is still on a list as a Catholic.

I do not wish to join any other church.

Why do you think so many of us choose to come to the R&S section and debate? I completely agree that this is a section for debate about religion, not for religious people, and that some of us are simply interested in religion, but do you think there might be an element of desperation in it? It is really difficult to argue with religious people, because their beliefs aren't founded in logical debate, and I often find if I try to talk about religion with a religious person, I become increasingly frustrated. Part of the reason I'm here is because I'm surrounded by religion in my day to day life, and I can't reason with it, so I need some kind of vent for my frustration. I find the longer I'm here the more annoyed I become, and yet I stay. Does anyone else have similar experiences?

I dont understand why nature made people gay. My theory is it is the way the brain developed. It makes perfect sense, the attraction towards people is all in the brain. Differnt circumstances imprinted the brain into liking the same gender. Bi people are Bi because there brain is attracted towards both genders.

What do you think, does what I say make sense to you people.

I have spent many years suppressed my Mormonism (having to hide in the restroom while being a total wanker). But now I am happy to say that I left the church to get some and am no-longer a virgin.

I am so happy and am feelin the joy. I just got back from a trip to Nevada to visit the Bunny Ranch.

This is a serious question I have always wondered about...take it for face value because there is no hidden meaning behind this question...when you're old and gray and possibly lonely are you going to look back on your life and be glad of all you did or will you maybe have regrets? If I tell anybody that this chair is God, he would straight away reject the idea because his mind does not agree to this. So there must be some particular tests which we can subject all God of different religions. As all religions claim that they are the only right way and others are false, all the religions cannot be correct. So how do we seperate the truth from falsehood.

You come here to surf for a few minutes, maybe answer a few questions. You mean to kill a little time, but not that much. After all, you have to get up early in the morning. Then the next time you look up at the clock, 2 or 3 hours have gone by. The laundry hasn't been folded, your husband's pouting, and you really should have been in bed an hour ago. Recently buried my grandfather. I was given the task of getting suit cleaned and delivering them to the funeral home. Upon my arrival, they asked for undershirt, underwear, and socks. I got the items, however, never did ask, why such items were needed. I asked this question to other family members, and one uncle tells that the funeral director actual placed an adult diaper on his mother...and till today....does not know why.
