And vice versa of course...in other words, are there spiritual gifts or experiences that are gender based? Whatever this implies to you?

The Gospel of Thomas 4:9 Jesus saw children who were being suckled. He said to his disciples: These children who are being suckled are like those who enter the Kingdom. (El Shaddai - the Breasted One - God). A baby suckling has only one source of nourishment and can have no other. Those who enter the Kingdom have ONLY God as their supply of Spiritual food and no other.
4:10 They said to Him: Shall we then, being children, enter the Kingdom? Jesus said to them: When you make the two one, and when you make the inner (the Being) as the outer (the human) and the outer (human) as the inner (Being) and the below (you) as the above (God), and when you make the male and the female into a single one, so that the male will not be male and the female not be female, when you make eyes in the place of an eye, and a hand in the place of a hand, and a foot in the place of a foot, and an image in the place of an image, . . . . . . . . . . . . . Then shall you enter the Kingdom.

My husband & I are on the same path & we walk together. In the end we are all the same, being but one thing. But here on this level with the illusion of separation & dualism, we represent different aspects of that whole. We can speak in generalities as long as we remember there are exceptions to every rule. At the beginning women are for the most part more receptive & intuitive. Partly due to conditioning we bring the heart, the feeling to the path & the union. It is not that women are not logical & practical, but the deck is usually stacked the other way. In many ways the woman will guide her mate to & along the path, at least in the beginning. Men bring to the path power, energy, & unshakable strength of devotion. The two together will feed each other & become as one unit. The woman with the heart, the spirit, the intution, the man, strength, raw power & devotion to purpose. Sometimes the men may be a little slower actually getting started, but once started it is their abilty to tap power that will carry both the man & the woman out. Please understand that this does not mean that men do not have heart or intuition, or that women do not possess power & strength, it really is a matter of degrees., & there will always be exceptions.Once beyond this level of duality, there are no more distinctions. Thanks for allowing me to share.

I think ALL have the 'capacity' to experience spirituality in whatever manner they allow themselves. But, as zentrinity has stated already, it does all come back down to just Being.

Now, on the physical surface of life, there can be a plethora of varying experiences that men and women can have. My wife and I feel that men tend to VIEW life more analytically, while women tend to FEEL life more emotionally. However, this is hardly set in stone, as there will ALWAYS be individuals who break this mold (and any other mold/stereotype that anyone wants to try and place on the surface of life).

And that's just it... it's when we begin to place all these "differences" upon each other, purely on the surface of life, seeing each other merely for how different (or unique) we are from one another, that many times the deep inner similarities are overloooked.

Each and every one of us ARE very much unique, but each and every one of us ARE ALSO very much the same. And that's where the glory of love comes in. Love has the capacity to bridge any gap that might possibly be perceived between two people, no matter how much different, or how similar they "seem" to be!

Another block-buster from the Sun-Man. :-)))

Some truly fabulous answers too, I'm not going to zero in on any one, because most of the fun is seeing all the perspectives.

I'm probably going to do the typing equivalent of opening my facial orifice and sticking one or both of my feet in it, but ... well .... what are feet for ??

I wrote a piece a few years ago about the 'Star of David', erroneously attributed with being a Jewish symbol. It was only adopted by the Jewish people of Europe less than 200 years ago, as far as I can tell. It does, however, have a much older history, going back to Ancient Egyptian, Sumerian, and Vedic texts, and ... strange though itn may seem, to many vastly older texts from civilisations that have long since vanished from this Earth.

The meaning of the two, superimposed, triangles, which should be, in fact, in three-dimensional geometry, pyramids, is male and female. Now there are different opinions on which way around it is, and I don't feel particularly strongly about it, so if anyone disagrees just take it that you are 'right', ok ?

So ... my version says that the pyramid/triangle with it's point uppermost represents female human incarnation, Earth-grounded and reaching to the 'otherworld', and the pyramid/traingle with it's point lowermost represents the male human incarnation, grounded in the 'otherworld' reaching down to the earth plane.

This fits together with the electrical analogy of male/emittor/positive, female/receptor/negative. And please don't get on my case about the positive/negative thing, I am not referring in any way to 'good' or 'bad', this is about the 'flow' of energetic force, into and out of the physical realm from the greater 'Reality' which enfolds this one.

Every single manifestation here embodies the basic dualism of the physical in one way or another, in the case of human incarnations I think it is this way. That is why so many of our healers and 'shamans' have been female, where the male counterpart has tended to be the 'spirit guide' form. I repeat, tended, I am well aware that there are cross-over examples of both.

I would also add, finally, that I am, as those who are familiar with my scribblings will affirm, an unshakable believer in 're-incarnation', although my 'take' on it is a little 'different', and I 'know' that we all take form as both male and female, as well as many non-human ( as we see it here and now ) forms.

So yes, dear Brother in the Sun, we do manifest differently, and I am sure that the meaning of the double pyramid/triangle icon is that, when we finally manage to get out of our own way and come back 'together', that the recombinant nature of male/female will allow us even greater insights into the worlds that we create. :-)))

Yes and in equal measure, but this bears explaining: Gender difference is a physical expression that resonates of polarities as the Mightiest of force, non-polar in essence and purpose, cascades downward and laterally and in any directions of purpose throughout the worlds, heavens, and universes of Life of that entirety or Super Cluster of the same -- call it the Universal Body of God if you will.

While the "created" universes are dual in nature and fabric of the negative (or charged pole), the non-polar or true spiritual power itself proceeds downward and throughout all the grand divisions where duality and creation, maintenance, and destruction (or re-forming) exists in these same divisions.

The female vessel is just as suited to all the forces as those common to the male with the exception of configurations of the vessel itself in an especial way, which naturally signatures for the unique purpose that only the female physical body possesses based upon the warrant in the physical planes -- of which one is that of bearing and serving as the vehicle through which souls come into the physical plane -- a tremendous configuration wherein great forces come to bear.

Important: This all is of course only at a physical level. For at that of the 'highest' realm, there exists no set or fixed distinction, and in truth Soul can take on any expression it so warrants -- male, female, or neither of these, both within and above duality where it has no need to take on a material body, whether gross (as with a physical body) or subtle, as with any of the subtle or inner bodies.

We are given to esteem a Soul is marked by some gender, which belief is wholly mistaken, and that the physical body is the complete individual but it is not. That is, the form man or the form woman though incredibly immutable of nature while configured to the physical shell is but a deciduous thing. Soul simply takes on the gender best suited for what's needed learning in its given continuum, the ever exchanging of genders back and forth -- by human measure, this is one long continuum.

But this takes us into still another question and answer set...

To learn to wield the positive stream of power while in the spirito-physical realm, however, is better suited and more compatible with the male aspect and form though it is possible indeed that the female aspect can wield it, though uncommon, but this does require a woman of tremendous strength, skill, and wisdom to wield the purest power that flows from out of the pure God Worlds, which is inconceivably well above the universes of duality. Again, it absolutely 'can' be done. But it must be said here that such station is far and away from what would be thought common wherein the subject of the spiritual levels are taken in.

Though this is a most important feature, there otherwise is no fundamental difference more than the distinctions we already know or observe of physical characteristics in the physical in terms of receptions and expressions among animals, or plants for that matter...

Women are, however, more readily open and suitable to the 'initial' requisites of spiritual endeavor and in virtually all cases are the greater of guidons in terms of discretions and carriage of the spiritual worlds; hence, they typically are the great seers -- which gift is vastly different from and far above anything that can be said psychic in any the popular sense.

Gender is so a lot greater complicated than you think of. maximum persons are actually not the two or, yet have various tiers of the different gender in many distinctive techniques, whether you could no longer see it. Strictly male and strictly female are merely archetypes. GALATIANS 3:28 there is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor unfastened, male nor female, for you're all one in Christ Jesus.

I have known male and female Zen masters so I believe that there is no difference in our capacity to reach the highest levels of spirituality.
But there is no doubt that men and women have different skills and different ways of being - it really is no good saying that we are the same, certainly equal in importance, but not the same.
Given that these differences exist it would hardly be surprising should our our spirituality be experienced and expressed differently.
Consider, say, the differences between Julian of Norwich and Francis of Assisi.

Women / men initially have different perspectives due to their common experience of being either or but in the end there is neither male or female. The conscious mind when focused on unity has full awareness of all aspects .

in general we have different qualities that allow the spiritual experience, as well as different obstacles to the spiritual experience...(the thinking mind vs. the pain body)

and based on how we use our minds to interpret the experiences, they could seem different...but of course the experience simply is...Being

but it is interesting how much more alike we are becoming- more and more men who are in touch with the so-called feminine qualities ( thank the lord!) and vise versa..

does this mean we are integrading into the One?

Just as we experience everything else differently, we experience spirituality from a feminine perspective too. Our relationship with the universe is seen through our 'goddess' senses as opposed to gods or God's. We are mothers of the universe.
