I dont understand why nature made people gay. My theory is it is the way the brain developed. It makes perfect sense, the attraction towards people is all in the brain. Differnt circumstances imprinted the brain into liking the same gender. Bi people are Bi because there brain is attracted towards both genders.
What do you think, does what I say make sense to you people.

I've always believed it was a "brain" thing too rather than "natural". Going with your "attraction" theory, it could be kind of like any other attraction. Why are some adults attracted to little kids? As disgusting as it is and as wrong as it is, something genuinely attracts people to kids and it doesn't make any sense. It's not "natural".. when a 5yrold can't even reproduce. Why are some people attracted and turned on by corpses and other weird fetishes? The problem with this theory of mine is that it puts "gay" in with the "mental illness' category or "psychotic" and nobody wants to go there. The gay flag protesters would be starting riots if anyone were suggesting they were "mentally ill" or had a "chemical imbalance".
One thing I always found interesting is how the majority of "Lesbians" were sexually abused as a child or even as a teen and this turned them off from men and they became "gay". Take a poll and do some research - You won't believe how many have the same sob stories.
The gay thing seems different with guys though.
I'm not religious or anything but I was reading about the "reincarnation" and "past lives" theory and they think it's because gays were the opposite sex in another life and they didn't "cross over" right for some reason their souls didn't match their bodies. lol
Going along with someone else's "womb theory"..I know there were some studies that suggested if the mother had a stressful pregnancy then it does ..something.. and the baby is "born" gay/bi.
I don't get the "born gay" thing or "knowing" from an early age because most little kids don't like boys or girls. The opposite sex has "cooties" and kissing is 'yucky'.
Some people I think are just extreme pervs and all they care about is sex and open minded enough to not care where it comes from. Funny how many "straight' men will accept oral from a gay guy.

I think the phenomenon is linked to the evolution of humanity and some innate societally linked trigger that some people are predisposed to react to (on a very fundamental, biochemical and prenatally developmental level). People argue about characteristics - homosexuality included - being genetic or environmental influeced, and we try to taxonomize these traits in neat little groups...the reality is, the more we find out about this area, the more we realize that we don't understand. I don't hink it is all black and white. I agree that it is the way the brain develops, but that curious organ develops in utero and each and every day in all of us living and breathing today. There is a ribosomal map ala DNA, and then the environment takes over from there. I also think we can inheret behavioral choices on certain levels. I also think some people are naturally gay, and others are more contrived, or experimentally gay. I also don't think people fall neatly into any one catagory or other...Most people (if not everybody) had or have a potential to be gay - all to varying degrees. Certain triggers effect some, while others are uneffected. Purpose, cause, motivation, result - can be as varied as there are people and possibility.

Well, when I was 7 I realized I like girls as well as boys. It wasn't really an epiphany for me throughout my life but more as a self-realization that came along with growing up.
The brain may have something to do with it. I think it's just an acquired thing you develop over time. You're not born gay neither can the influence of others turn you that way.
On the flip-side I am more attracted to homosexual males than heterosexuals; which in itself I still can't understand. I guess I'm either looking for a woman or a feminine man.
That way I can have my cake and eat it too. ^_^

i'm taking this to understand that you mean that sexual orientation is developed via by the biological process? understanding the reason why people are made gay in the first place probably correlates with how they are what they are, or how they became the way that they are. once you understand how someone became gay, you should be well on the way to understanding why there are gay people. but i think that people are gay because of something in their genes. or else science is missing out on a whole other spectrum of who and what we are.

gender is determined when the fetus is exposed or not exposed to Testerone. Things can go wrong
There are some studies showing a possible corelation between a particular gene and a tendency to homosexual behavior.
Finally there is while a young personality is being actualized, they are sexualized by molestation by a same sex individual
The last a most reprehensible crime, that seem to turn the abused into an abuser

Best I know is you are born gay when your brain makes you attracted to one sex in particular. Sounds crazy but just like everything you either like it or you don't, some people say it is the brain, some say its in the DNA makeup.
Or in smaller percentage, you become it, ( I think you just realize it later on)

I think that it is something that is formed somewhere in the brain during pregnancy, and sometimes it just gets mixed up. Get this I have and Aunt and Uncle who are twins, and the Aunt is a lesbian, and the Uncle is Gay. To me it seems like maybe something got switched for them when they were in the womb. Who knows though?

The soal has no gender. Who you love has nothing to do with physical apperence or what they ahve in there pants but what they have inside. If you get to know a person and truly fall in love, then it shouldn't matter whether they are male or female. Just that they are good people.

yes, its all in the brain,
some people are born like that, and I think it also depends on how they were brought up? there can be lots of reasons too
like if you're the only boy/girl amongst your siblings or umm... you have some kinda hormone defects

I agree, I think that it's just imprinted in your brain and it's in your hormones as to what makes you sexually turned on.
