No I don't believe so. When ever I found myself feeling guilty for surviving after dealing with a situation like that. I think about the poem "A Soldier Reports to God". As a soldier we scarf ice our lives. Wars are ugly its not about hating our enemies but understanding them. They are living human beings that live and breath like us. Misguided and lost there is nothing we can do to change there point of view. All we can do is protect yourself and preserve the lives we can save. Soldiers don't fight wars not for politics or for religious beliefs in this country. Soldiers fight hoping to find someone and something to protect. That thing or person is the people left and right of them on the battle field. The worse thing a soldier can do is under estimate or disrespect his enemy. In closing no i don't believe that a soldier would lose his kids. God understand we are all doing what we can to preserve life. Sometimes along the way we become lost and commit acts that we regret or shouldn't be proud of. God forgives those that have sinned if they ask for forgiveness and they truly believe it.

No. Whether or not you lose your children is totally independent of what you do in Iraq. A soldier should do his best not to kill children, but if the children are firing a gun at him, he has the right to defend himself. But God doesn't punish a soldier by taking away his children.

God can do what ever He chooses.
But God is Just and does not punish children for the sins their father or mother commits.
Children may die from diseases, accidents or some other causes. God gives childrn. If God decides to take them back, He can. God has power over every thing. God may take a child early to test his/her parents faith to see if they will bad mouth about God or have patience and ask for another one.
All children are innocent. According to Quran Children are free from sin on birth. Adam and Eve did sin of disobedience to God. They both did repent and God forgave them. Their children and our children are born pure and free from sin. This is what Islam teaches. Because children are innocent and free from sins until they reach puberty, if they die early they are sent to heaven regardless of who there parents are and what religion they followed.

Because we're fighting in an urban combat setting, civilians are possibly able to get in the way and die, it has nothing to do with god or religion
