2 Corinthians 6:16-18

16 What agreement has a temple of Yahweh with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as Yahweh said, "I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people."

17 Therefore, "Come out from among them, And be separate", says the Lord, "Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you."

We are the true temples of God (Yah' Veh). The "V" is locked five times in the acrostics in Esther and cannot be disputed. It is not "W" it is aspirant and then "V".

The temple artifices made by man are shadows or examples of the heart to heart co-union Father wishes and demands with all His children. This is why both our Father and the adversary lay claim to the temple mount in Jerusalem. It represents the place in each and every person where the heart of man communes with God.

He can only be in us and we in Him if we are clean, washed by the blood of the eternal Passover Lamb, Yeshua Messiah, Jesus the Christ.

We MUST be clean. It is the only way we can live(survive). God our Father in heaven is our only life. He will not and can not commune with anything unclean praise be His Holy name.

Unclean things are many and they are often false teachings which block people's appreciation of the reality which is Christ our Messiah.

For instance Easter is an unclean corruption of the truth of passover, blocking many from understanding passover and Christ.

"Come out from among them" is a warning to true believers to come out of false christianity which is actually big business and will spread lies to make money.

Such lies bring death and separation from God.

To get a fuller understanding of these verse one must read from 14-18. In this passage Paul is talking about the relationship between the doctrine of old and God's word. Many Corinthians during this time were attempting to combine the new beliefs with the old doctrine that they found appealing. Paul is showing how opposites cannot be combined together nor can the Word of God and the old doctrines that the Corinthians had once lived by (which was considered false). In accepting Christ as our savior, we, at that point, decide to give up the ways of old and chose to follow Christ. His Spirit than is sent to dwell within us. As long as our walk does not falter the Spirit continues to direct us. The Spirit cannot occupy to same vessel that sin occupies. If we sin against God than the Spirit is no longer with us and will not return until we repent. The sole purpose the creation of, life and death of Jesus Christ was so that God could once again have a personnal relationship with his people. God walked and talked with Adam before he sinned. In Christ's redemption, he is able to do the same again. The only way to ensure that we do not fall away from the Father is to separate ourselves from those that would influence us to sin against him.

True Christianity and idols (idolatrous, demonic false religions) are utterly incompatible. Believers individually are spiritual houses in which the Spirit of Christ dwells. In verse 17, Paul drew from Is 52:11 and elaborated on the command to be spiritually separated. Its not only irrational & sacrilegious but disobedient to be bound together with unbelievers. When belivers are saved they are to make a clean breat from all sindul habits and old idolatrous patters. To be seperate was a command for believers to be as Christ was (Heb.7:26). And in 18 A result of separating themselves from false doctrine & practice, believers will know the full righness of what it means to be children of God. (Rom. 8:14, Sam 7:14, Ezek 20:34)

I hope that helps.

Well its kinda confusing...but this is what I think:

That this "Yahweh" is a high-priest or seen as a god. He is concerned about this because people are putting him in this category and he doesn't know what to about the people...aka...his idols, and his idols could also be external objects.

Then god instructs him to come away from them. To not idolize himself as a god and incourage their behavior. Also to not continue idolizing false objects himself. Then god will accept him.

The most obvious point is that your quote is not talking about the same God as the Christian God. The word Yahweh does not appear in the original Greek in the Protestant Bible.

FORGET ABOUT IT

Christianity is a FEAR based religion used to control the masses!! agree?
Because fear is the most productive tool these mind control cults have to win over and keep followers.
Source(s):
Remember, "god" is nothing more than a nonsense word created by man to explain away all of the things we can't yet understand.

Religion is a disease of the mind, born of fear, which has done nothing but bring untold misery down upon the human race.
If you can't get someone to convert willingly through preaching, fear is the next best tool.

Christianity for instance is based on two principles:

1. If you believe, you will be rewarded with the prospect of an eternity in Heaven when you die.

2. If you don't believe, you will be rewarded with the prospect of an eternity in Hell when you die.

For Christians:

God is all-loving, all-wise and all-merciful, so long as you submit to becoming a slave - salivating and singing heaps of praises on him for all eternity.

Much like an Earthly dictator who rules his subjects under rule of tyranny - submit or suffer.
Two methods in which religion spreads

1)Violence
2)Child Indoctrination

Paul is talking about being together with unbelievers. He isn't saying not to be active in witnessing to unbelievers, but not to put ourselves in personal or business relations that might compromise our faith. Believers should do everything in their power to avoid situations that could cause them to divide their loyalties.

it looks to me that this cowardly god is frightened of Buddah...... what people think of as god is only humans trying to vie for power on earth... Buddah a human is an example of what evolved into religion... the only difference in Buddah we understood he was first a man.. christian gods go a long way into hiding the fact that that's what they are.. and the second verse 17 is the men playing god trying to bribe or sweet talk people into their religions... they will do anything a more accurate depiction of these men are the politicians we know to lie through their teeth...
