Visit the Politcs section for some heavy bickering and grandstanding. It seems to be an (American) quality to pick a side and then shout down and insult the other, regardless of whether it's religion, politics, sports, etc. Or perhaps are these just the loudest? Honestly, how many of you are proud to be staunch Republicans or hardcore Democrats, believing everything that your party stands for. Are most of us in the middle, leaning towards one side or the other? Is EVERYTHING black and white, or are there shades of gray?

After rereading Diamond's question about "Receptionist's", It got me thinking about the word "Patient"...do you think that word was chosen by whoever to deliberately try to instill in to our minds thats how we should be....lets face it, how many of us certainly feel IMPATIENT when we visit Doctors, Dentists etc.....wonder how many other words out there that means the total opposite.......

simple. why is everyone making something so
great, be so bad. Isnt it a great thing we dont
have to be punished, he got punished in our place

If America is a Christian country (84 percent claim the big C) why are we capitalists? Jesus was definitely a staunch opponent of capitalism and even said that it was hard for rich men to get into heaven. He also was very much against individualism... if this is so, how is it possible that a nation known for all those things is considered a Christian nation? (Please if you are answering this to be mad... don't answer it, this is not an insult against Americans, which I am, or Christians, which I am not.) I just want to hear some real arguments but not "Well you aren't a Christian!!" and crud like that. I want to hear someone answer the question with something intelligent.

He told me that it started off with him just wanting a finger in his butt when he was younger, and eventually he ended up talking to transexuals. He has never had sex with one, but says that once he had one perform oral sex on him. However, he says HE DOES NOT WANT A MAN! He says he only likes booty play, and he says he does not want to perform oral on a transexual. He told me that if I used a strap on with him that he would not talk to them at all. Im wondering, if all he wanted was for me to use a strap on, then why is he talking to transexuals, unless he does want a REAL dick? In that case, would it make him gay?

Do you think it's possible for a teacher to be seduced by their student (if the student was in high school, not grade school or anything)? Teachers are always blamed for any sexual encounters with students but do you think in a case where the student "went after" the teacher, that the teacher is morally and/or legally responsible? Because when it comes down to it, people are people who make mistakes. Also in cases (not just with teachers) with an older male and a younger girl, it's always a big deal but when the situation's reversed, very few poeple actually see any problem with it for the boy? Please post thoughts.

Note: This isn't me and I don't plan on seducing any of my teachers. I'm just curious about people's thoughts on the subject.

To put this question in context, I was raised in a religious family and the religion was not what I would consider a pleasant one. Some would call it a cult. Many of their teachings left me hurt
and confused, as did the upbringing I had. It took me a long time to begin to heal.
I often feel that I need answers. But the members of that religion, especially on this forum, either tell me to be quiet (they even sent me emails telling me to 'be silent') or refuse to comment. My mother won't discuss it with me either.

So what do you do, when you have unresolved issues which you need answers to in order to move on, but you are denied those answers?

Any girls out there that have been with or are currently with a boyfriend / husband that swings both ways. I personnally like being with guys and girls. She brought this ham for the block party and then she was cutting pieces off and putting it on her children's plates and I just got so sad. I went home that night and cried b/c I know the Bible says not to eat pork and that pigs are unclean and I asked my husband why she did that and he said that some people don't know any better. Why do we assume that god is inherently good?
Why do we assume that god would have our best interest in mind?
Maybe god is indifferent to human conditions...
With all his power and the cosmos to wander, why would he waste time on such trivial matters like human events?

How do we know theres only one god, when countless religions seem to be convinced of hundreds of entities?
How do we know god isn't imperfect? The Greek gods reflected vengeance, desire, and human qualities...

If you claim to know or have the answers, how can you be sure?
Did you have direct contact? Do you have irrefutable proof?

Would it be the most famous person here of that religion? Or a person you consider to be the most intellectual? Would you chose the person who has attacked your religion the most? Dont bother saying stuff like, "I don't want to force people to convert" or "I would like to save everyone" that ruins the fun of it.

I suppose I should pick one...... Hmmm.... I'm not sure if this is the right screen name, but Path of Reason??? Something like that. Respectful person, or at least from what I've seen.

Basic facts, I caught him in a lie on day one.
Fortunately I work w/him rarely, however I cannot be around this person, his character makes me ill.
ILL I said!!!! He makes me truely sick.
My other co-worker from a different store location says he doesn't do his job right at her store either. [we are assigned by another company to do certain jobs for stores,ect]
I just want to know how to deal w/a Lying sack of $hit con-artist. I don't like their continuous games, too much to post here.
How do you be around someone like this exactly?
