Does anyone consider wearing a wedding ring just jewelry verses a symbol of marrige?

I do. I am married and don't always wear my ring. I know I am married, I don't need my ring on to let me know that.
On the other hand it was a gift from my husband and that gives it sentimental value but that would be so if it had been a gift for even another occasion.

Both actually. It's a beautiful piece of jewelry from my husband that I wear because I love it and it does represent our marriage. I don't need a reminder of my marriage, but I always wear it because I work with the public and sometimes THEY need the reminder.

People who want others to think that they are married for some reason. But even then it's still a symbol of marriage, if even a misrepresenting one.

It is without a doubt the symbol of the covenant I have made with my husband, and is used to show the world that I have made a lifetime vow.
