If my boss did not understand this then I wouldnt want to work for him.

You only have to stick around until the ambulance gets there, so youre looking at 15 minutes tops. Just call 9-1-1 then call the office as soon as better help arrives and you can get out of the way.

I can place myself on the shoes of one who met a serious accident. It happened to me before when my car bumped on a tree and shattered the wind shield. Broken glasses flew to my face and cutting several inches on different parts of my face. I almost collapsed due to blood lost.

When I tried flagging down vehicles, nobody heeded; the Good Samaritan had probably flew out of the country. At least one car was overridden by bystanders, who forced the driver that I should be driven fast to the nearest hospital.

So, what do I need to do?

I WILL HELP. Then explain to my boss and leave the rest to God. Life is more precious than job! A job can be found again, but life snuffed out will forever be etched as a bad memory ripping on one's conscience.

Screw my boss. I see what I can do and call for help. With my cell phone, i take a few pictures.

i call the boss to say that i am a witness to an accident and I must stay to fill out paperwork.

I have the police officer write a note for me to give to him, explaining what I am doing and that it took this long.

If i lose my job over this kind of crap, the Department of labor will get a call on this

Stop and help the person. The day a meeting with a boss takes priority over a human life is the day a person needs to seriously step off and assess their priorities. Jobs can be replaced, a human life cannot. It takes no thought or consideration...I'd absolutely stop and help to the full extent of my ability.

have you ever never heard of lady surgeons? There are male nurses too, these days. and many cities have electrical energy, and mains gasoline materials - some human beings even have connections to a minimum of a few thing reported as the information superhighway. in simple terms joking, did no longer propose to be rude. Patronising?! Do you even know what the be conscious patronising potential?! (John Cleese circa 1985 - or no longer, because of the fact the case could be)

I will stop and help, I will try to call work and have them let the boss know whats up. If they can't understand the fact that this was life and death and me helping could have been the deciding factor in wether this person makes it or not, im not sure I would want to work for them any way!

I would defintely stop and help the person.... inform my boss/colleague abt the same... As many of them answered... Life is precious.... ppl get many jobs in life.. but a person has got only one life... as a human being for me always saving a life will take priority over a job.

Pull over call 911 and assist to the best of my abilities.

*Then* have the police/hospital contact my boss(es), alert them that i was too busy being a hero to rush into work at that time. And sue if i was fired or reprimanded for saving a life.

Nothing should come before your duty to save a human life! No top boss worth his/her salt will have issues with your action of saving someone’s life. On the contrary you should receive accolades!!!

That's why I carry a cell phone - for emergencies!!

"Hi, boss, sorry I'm late, but there was an accident and I'm waiting for the ambulance to come. I'll be there as soon as they're here." If they fire you for that, consider yourself lucky.

Oh yeah, make sure it's a real accident, and not some shill trying to rob you.
