Me and some friends want to volunteer abroad next summer, when we will be 16. But every website we look at are too expensive or you have to be 18. Does anyone know of any?

in the old days when jesus was on earth, there was so much evidence of god.... many miracles happened, angels appeared to humans... etc... (that is, if the bible is true)
So, how come in present day we dont get to see all these things anymore... ?

I've just asked if God might have felt lonely before He created us... and someone told me I was being disrespectuful for assigning Him a human feeling.
Would that mean that God doesn't experience any of the human feelings?

When my exe and I split, our "adopted daughter" asked me why I was leaving him. She was 19 at the time. I didnt want to say it was because I was tired of him or marriage or whatever so I told her the truth -
He had an affair and I couldnt accept it.
She has refused to talk to him ever since. I didnt know this would be her reaction to hearing why.
I convinced her once to talk to him and he started bashing me and saying I had no right to tell her and I wanted to make trouble between him and her.
So she stopped talking to him again, what a dumb thing for him to say, really.
He could have said he was sorry he had hurt everyone by his actions and he regretted them - but no he attacked me instead for telling her the truth.
Do you think I was wrong to tell her the truth in the first place? She wasnt a child. And I didnt want her to think I would leave for no good reason. I felt I owed her the truth. Was that wrong of me?

how would you react and what would you do?
this happened to my friend last night, he felt the glass while it was in his mouth and cut his tongue a little and there was little blood, but overall no big deal. we were very professional and nice but i know that some other people could've easily flipped out and caused a big scene and possibly sued for 10 million.
we just told the waiter about it and the check was on the house......we still gave a good tip.
did we do the right thing or would you have done something different if you were in this situation?

If in fact you had freewill in heaven then you could sin, since we are not perfect beings (which also means our souls are not perfect), so therefore you could be constantly seeing a line of people getting evicted from heaven and going to the hell express.
Or does God wipe your mind clean and make everyone as zombies? I am going with you all become zombies since if you had freewill, you would also spend eternity thinking of those family members and friends who are burning in hell. That would be an eternity of mental hell that you would have to endure, which would put you in your own hell.
I am going for the zombie thing, because God could not take that chance and with freewill and freethought heaven would be depresing and sad because of those who did not make it, God would be inundated with his form # G00013, the get out of hell card, which he would have to form a sub-committee which would have religious leaders on it, so you know they can be bought.
Yeah zombies makes sense.

Last week, while traveling to Chicago on business, I noticed a marine sergeant traveling with a folded flag, but did not put two and two together. After we boarded our flight, I turned to the Sergeant, who'd been invited to sit in first class (across from me), and inquired if he was heading home. No he responded. Heading out I asked? No I’m escorting a soldier home. Going to pick him up? No. he is with me right now. He was killed in Iraq; I'm taking him home to his family. The realization of what he had been asked to do hit me like a punch to the gut. He told me that, although he didn’t know the soldier, he had delivered the news of his passing to the soldiers’ family and felt as if he knew them after many conversations in so few days. I turned back to him, extended my hand and said, thank you. Thank you for doing what you do so my family and I can do what we do. Upon landing in Chicago the pilot stopped short of the gate and made the following announcement over the intercom. "Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to note that we have had the honor of having sergeant Steeley of the United State's Marine Corps join us on this flight. He is escorting a fallen comrade back home to his family. I ask that you please remain in your seats when we open the forward door to allow Sergeant Steeley to deplane and receive his fellow soldier. We will then turn off the seat belt sign" without a sound all went as requested. I noticed the sergeant saluting the casket as it was brought off the plane and his action made me realize that I am proud to be an American. A recent questioner asked: "Chrsitians: Do you believe gay people should be allowed to have civil unions?"
One reply was: "for me it's denying gay people civil rights"
This made me think: What if I want to marry my dog, can I? After all, is it hurting anybody? If you say NO, are you not imposing your morals on me?
What if I want to marry four women at once, can I? After all, is it hurting you if I do? If you say NO, are you not imposing your morals on me?
My conclusion is that this is not a matter of "denying gay people civil rights" as the answerer said. We legislate correctness and morality all the time, which is why you cannot marry your horse. What is really happening her is the denial that marrige is between a man and a woman, and homosexuals are not denied that right - they just choose not to. They are trying to invent a new right which does not exist.
Does anybody have an opinion on this?

Okay at first i thought i was just noticing it alot but i see these numbers on clocks (when its like 2:00 in the day) on the trip meter in my car people call me at 9:11 Ive been in two different states and two seperate cars pulled out in front of me and the only number on their tag was 911. The highway I drive to school is 119. I know that 9 + 11 = 20 how old I am. And that i seem to notice it more when my ex boyfriend is around. DOes anyone have an idea of what these numbers mean?
