As a Christian, I am seeing some really true answers that I didn't really read that often months ago.
I can easily tell if an answer or question is someone wrong or not. And can tell if someone is right & has more true information.

Jonathan, Jesus doesn't make truth blind the non elect. Jesus speaks in parables so only those really interested will hear & understand. Everyone is elect through faith in Jesus Christ, the Elect. When people don't believe in Jesus, they aren't going to pursue the Word of God to understand.

It's made me far more aware of the range of religious and other beliefs out there in the world, and the arguments used in support of them, and because of them.
Many of them are frightening, but it's better to know that such people, minds and positions exist.
A few bright stars stand out, with both a gentle manner and sonething to say.

Really? Or just whether an answer or question conforms to your pre-existing paradigm?
The second is easy. Realising that you've got to change your mind on something fundamental, now that's hard.

Both. Whenever the gospel is sent forth, it does not return void; God uses it to save some (Romans 1:16,17; 10:17); and on the other hand, also to blind the non-elect (John 12:37-40).

You see truth in what you want to see truth. You will judge only those things that affirm your belief as truth.

The key to the path of enlightenment is to go against the grain and search for truth in those things that counter your beliefs. To search for truth in those things that do not come across as truth is the goal.

At least there are some religionists here asking question! I've encountered so many that won't or dare not question anything they have been told my their priest, etc.

However, some of the questions on here are incredibly stupid, as are some of the answers. One way to understand is to continue to investigate for yourself.
