in the old days when jesus was on earth, there was so much evidence of god.... many miracles happened, angels appeared to humans... etc... (that is, if the bible is true)
So, how come in present day we dont get to see all these things anymore... ?
If we dont get to see all that, how does god want us to believe the same as the people did in the past days...?

Well, first of all, God uses means. that means that if, say, a christian were to get cancer, God won't just "poof" and the cancer is gone! He uses medicines and treatments to help cure us of diseases. In some rare cases, someone will get better for seemingly no reason. Atheists can make up ideas to show why it's not a "miracle". They they it was a natural coincidence that our bodies fixed, not God. Well. here is a TRUE story, and I don't care if you believe me or not, but it's true:
An old friend of ours was getting on in age and his vision was starting to get worse and worse. One day, while working in his garage, a couple paint cans suddenly exploded in his face (no lie!). He went to the hospital and soon recovered. At his next visit to his eyedoctor, they found he now had 20-20 vision.
He was a Christian, and God helped him.
So, you don't believe me. If I could find a way to prove this story would that make you believe in God? Even if it WERE true (and it is!) you would find away around believing in it, unless God wanted you to belive.

First, when Christ was on the earth,He did many miracles, but in certain towns and cities He did little or no miracles because of their(the Jew's)unbelief.Read the entire Gospels and you will see the statement Christ repeatedly makes that He did not many mighty works because of their unbelief.By the way,the Bible IS TRUE.The reason why we dont see very many miracles today is the same reason why in times past, unbelief.Christ has given mankind the Bible and that is Christ's main way of communicating to mankind what He wants us to know.Christ still is in the miracle working business,it's just in most "techno" countries, science blocks out faith.

You still wake up each morning. The seasons still change. Perhaps God decided He had done enough by giving us the gift of His grace and forgiveness. The rest is up to us now. I believe that would be the reason for freewill. Why would he want the love of someone who believed simply because he smote 40 people next to him or anything else? Would that not simply make us all cookie cutter Christians?

Your basic idea is SEEING is believing.
Not so.
The Pharisees saw some of Jesus' miracles and only wanted to kill him.
Miracles did not make them believers.
Seeing angels? Many would still believe it was all a hoax.
What differentiates man from other life forms is:
Man has the ability to reason.
We use our reasoning powers to see ....not literal, but in our mind's eye.

I have had occassion to check out a few cases where I believe they are authentic miracles however people require an unrealistic standard of proof. In other words if they weren't there when it happened then as far as they are concerned it didn't happen.

Grace unto you, and peace,
from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

An evil(law) and adult-erous generation seeketh after a sign, and there shall no sign be given them except the sign of Jonas(allegoric plural of Jonah): they that observe lying vanities (laws) forsake their own mercy (grace)... the allegoric sign of Jonas.

Pst: an adult-erous generation would be those claiming to be espoused to His Grace, but then later found whoring with Law; Like the man healed with seven grace us words instead of being helped into troubled water in John 5 was later found in the law temple giiving praise to Law.

A grace us adult generation (the generation of J->C: Mt 1:1) understands it's all allegory and mystery to be solved by seek and find the allegory clues to solve the mystery, by find grace at throne of grace in time to help.

Not to mention the over-all biblical objective is NOT to believe (Mt 24:23,26; 1Jn 4:1), but to know (John 8:32). For believers do as well as devils (James 2:8,19) don't do well if they pass their time with fear (1Pet 1:17) hath torment (1Jn 4) and tremble as Moses did at Sinai (Heb 12). Selah.

The GRACE of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.

Great question!

I think we do not see as many miracles in our modern world due to the fact, we are so.......busy for God.

How many of us are praying, fasting, reading our word, seeking the face of God like we should?

I think we have tuned God out, unfortunately!! God is the same yesterday, today, & forever!!

As a famous general once said "Religion is the opiate of the masses". Its a political tool used to set societal and moral standards, to keep people calm and docile or to fire them up to fight.

because the world is turning away from god.

the world is blissfully drunk with sin now...which completely blocks all grace and goodness.
