What compels non-religious people to spend so much time in R&S?

i agreed with few girls that i would dress as girl for Halloween

now they want me to wear bra and lingerie
also they want me to shave my legs , arms and underarms

Your telling me these people choose to live this way? That they are pretending to have feminine voices and these women are born with very male characteristics? You have got to be kidding me! It is so clear and obvious that it is not a choice and that it is genetic. I could tell that my friend Mel was going to be a lesbian in 7th grade just based on genetic characteristics. And my friend Tony was going to be gay because of the same thing!

Why do priests and other clergy members practice celibacy? I can't see anything pious about refraining from a natural act that is necessary for the existence of the human race. Is sex viewed to be sinful? I think that would be odd considering that God instilled it for the purpose of human recreation.

Christianity:
The belief that some cosmic Jewish zombie can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and that you telepathically tell him you accept him as your master, so he can remove an evil force from your soul that is present in humanity because some rib-woman was convinced by a talking snake to eat from a magical tree.

The Catholic Church has been accused of cannibalism because of the Eucharist. So here is the difference. You can eat and drink human flesh under the appearances and "form" of human flesh and blood. But in the Eucharist you eat and drink the Body and Blood of Christ under the appearances and "form" of bread and wine. Chemical analysis still indicates it is bread and wine, but it is still considered substantially the Body and Blood of Christ. The Eucharist is therefore food for both the body; but especially and spiritually, for the soul.

Jesus was NOT commanded to start a new religion and he practiced Judaism COMPLETELY.

Paul created a "gentile" version of the message of Jesus and added some pagan concepts into it to make it attractive.

Paul is the founder and main author of Christianity so could we consider him a martyr for HIS religion ?

I am Chinese and am currently learning mandarin. I am a CBC (Chinese born Canadian) so I pretty much know no chinese except a few phrases such as telling my mom what I want for dinner, etc.

One of the main problems I have when learning a language is understanding someone else's speech. I seem to be great at remembering the different characters. I studied a bit more than the rest of my class. But the problem is, I'm behind most of my classmates when it comes to understanding the teacher. The same thing happened when I was learning French, which caused me to drop it.

How can I improve my listening skills to foreign languages? It's a real pain. I've tried watching spongebob in chinese with subtitles but it doesn't help too much because I've only been learning for 9 months (but 1 class every week so its like 30 classes cuz of holidays) and dont know most of the words.

Your suggestions are appreciated.

so many people in different places for instance eygpt have different gods..so how do we know WE are right??
If god thinks the world is "overpopulated" and is trying to help with that then why...is he killing the good instead of bad...
look i wanna believe in him..i just dont know why people do..i mean theres no PROOF...so how do you do it...my life is really messed up..because of all the people around me...and so i say to myself..how can there be a god?? if there was a god why would my life be this way??Please help me..tell me why YOU believe in god...and if you dont please dont answer...

I recently caught my boyfriend dressed up in my clothes. He is a really sweet guy and I dont want to leave him, yet I also just want to even with him. Even though this is probably what he wants, I want to dress him up as a girl for halloween and take him to the halloween party. does anyone know any good volunteer websites?
i want to volunteer on the east coast, perferably around NY - NJ area. But I need volunteer jobs that either provide housing or help with housing and provide some type of salary. I will be living onm my own there and I need help in housing. I just want to volunteer from around Dec or Jan til like April - May - June.

someone told me, "No! Jesus will find you"

Well I have heard that you catch more flies with honey, which I thought was a metaphorical saying. So I covered myself with honey, thinking it would attract Jesus.
Turns out, the saying is literal. Jesus still didn't come find me, but I did attract a lot of flies. Bees too.

Do you think I should just leave out a bottle of expensive red wine for Jesus instead?

But he is Catholic and according to the bible I have to do what he says. He hasn't expressed a desire to be in control of our household, does that mean he isn't doing the right thing by God? If he DID ask me to be submissive I would get angry and no way would I do it, how can some women handle being slaves to their husbands? I don't mind him having an opinion but I am very against taking a back seat when it comes to decisions and anything really. Do other women feel like this? Who does what their husbands say and do you do it because of religion?

I think as a Christian, it is important to confront certain challenges from atheists. Here is one:

Leviticus 20:13. This verse has God saying to Moses that homosexuals caught in the act should be killed.

While this may seem bad, it is important to note that this . ONLY applied to Jews and the penalty for MANY sins was death. It wasn't just for homosexuality. It was sactioned by God because it was a different time. It was before Jesus. When Jesus came, he washed away our sins for those who are Christian, so it was no longer necessary for this type of punishment. He took the sins of the world upon himself. Also, Moses was dealing with slaves that would NOT listen to reason. Remember the story of Moses going up in the mountain and returning to find people worshipping a golden calf?

What are your thoughts?

My brother isn't sick or anything and it's not an allergy but for years he's had this habbit of constantly sniffing and doing these one second coughs several times a minute. They're not sick sniffs or coughs they're just these pointless habits. But he does it all the time, loudly. It's just sooo stupid! And during a movie I have to listen to it. you wouldn't want to be in a quiet scene in a movie and hearing him sniffing in the background. Or when i go to bed his room is next to mine. I can hear him anywhere i go in my house. And my parents don't seem to mind at all for some reason and i've asked them to make him stop but then they just get mad at me and when i tell him to stop he gets bad at me to and just keeps doing it. II just find it so annoying and stupid and now it's just driving me crazy. He says he can't stop but he doesn't try and i know he can because i had the same habbit but i quickly stopped.
Would you find that annoying or am i overreacting?

ive noticed that in movies. the actors walk in the house withshoes on and i horrified ad amazed at the same time.
"Why the hell aer you wearing shoes indoors! AND HOW ARE DOES YOUR FLOOR STAY SO CLEAN!!!!"

i know filipinos take of their shoes because the parents are having a hard time cleaning the floors all day.

so tell me folks, why dont you take off your shoes when you enter the house?
