....do you think it's sissy to carry one or not? Like I said, I love the thing, but I'm very manly and a Christian...and I wouldn't want to hurt my wife's feelings either. Is it okay to use it? I'd appreciate your opinions."

Start referring to it as a man sack in public ... eg... "Have you seen my man sack?"..."Feel around in my.. "" well you get the idea. Do this persistently.. the joke never get's old ... (NOT) and eventually your darling will start collecting your wallet and keys and placing htem in her handbag like she used to .. and cosmic order will be restored.

I *LOVE* me a murse! Of course, I have been known to date style-os in the past --- my husband being the only non-style-o of the bunch (but I am showing him the light, friend!). I mean, men need to be able to carry stuff too, no? And what is the alternative, a freakin' fanny pack? I'm pretty sure there's scripture that outlaws fanny packs. God hates a fanny pack. Levitical laws about stoning fanny pack wearers? If not, there should be.

Personally, I find that murses are stylish and elegant (and can even be rugged in the right circumstance) without being in the least 'sissy'. Just make sure you get a cool one and wear it cross style as opposed to just over one shoulder --- like how midwesterners wear their purses when they visit SF or NY. Ha!. If you wear it on one shoulder (like a lady would wear a purse), well, brother, we need to talk. ;)

With all due respect, heterosexual males worry far too much about things being manly. Who cares what other people think? The only person who really matters is your wife and she obviously thinks it's a good idea. If you like it, use it. You live in the Bay Area and so do I. I see all kinds of guys carrying all kinds of things from duffel bags to back packs to satchels to fanny packs. I wouldn't worry about it here. If any guy makes a comment, tell him you're comfortable enough with your manhood to carry the "man-purse." (Although that is an ugly term and I'd think of something better to call it.) If he keeps it up, smack him with it! : )

Don't sweat it. Guys have been lugging stuff in bags for a long time. It's just fabric stitched together to shove stuff in. You like it and it's gift from your wife.

If your wife puts on a man's watch or starts using a money clip, it's not going to make her less of a woman, right?

Carry it with man-pride.

What does being a Christian have to do with carrying a "man purse?" If it doesn't make you feel manly, do not carry it.

Are you secure in your own being as a person and in your own masculinity? Or are you threatened by what others think? Once you know the answers to those questions, you'll know whether you can carry a "man purse" or not.

I suppose it depends on how big it is. If it is smaller, like a woman's purse, I'd say it might be sort of strange. If it is larger, like a briefcase, then it's okay. Either way, do what you feel comfortable with.

There is nothing wrong with it as long as it goes with your outfit. I mean you wouldn't want to carry a brown man purse and wear black shoes, now that would be tacky.

Dude! A man-purse is better than a fanny-pack.. I think personally.

I h8 fanny packs!

Anyhow, if this man-purse looks how I think it does, it looks like a smaller version of a messenger bag?? I don't see anything wrong with that.

Its fine. There is nothing wrong with a purse.Joe Namath wore nylons and if its cold some very manly men would wear nylons to keep from freezing their legs.

Man-purses are adorable! Also, I think men who use them shouldn't be considered sissies. It just shows they are in touch with their sensitive sides!! ; )
