I don't think it's that bad, have done it at concerts. There's always *many* more women than men, and while I've never been the first one to use the men's room, generally someone will start once the handful of men who need to go during break time are done and there's still a long line for the womens' room... I've noticed it often takes a minute or two for the first one woman to go, but once someone has, everyone else agrees it's a good idea and just takes those stalls in turn. Only any guys who come around later complain because they have to wait and they're not used to that!

I think it's ok to use the men's room in emergencies, like if you can't wait or make it to the ladies' room. Note that this needs to work the other way around too though. It's silly to expect to get to use the men's room and then freak out of they use the ladies' room in emergencies.

It's best to get their agreement first though or warn them before entering the men's room (they don't all like having women walking in on them while they're using the urinals).

If each bathroom is completely separated from others (as in not stalls but a completely closed off bathroom) then I don't think it matters which one you use even if it's not an emergency, but naturally men should have priority with the men's room and women should have priority with the ladies' room.

No guy would care at all if a woman came out of the stall in the mens bathroom, it has happend to me before. A lady came out of a stall and the bathroom was full of guys, she just went over, washed her hands and walked out as though it was no big deal. All of just looked at eat other with a strange look then shrugged, didn't even say a word.

Well, let's put it this way ... if the lines at the ladies are long, and the men's is empty, and my need is great ... you KNOW what I'm going to do.

However, I would certainly apologise to any male who I happened to see in there, and I would keep my eyes on the ground the whole time!

Having said that, public places should have extra toilets for for women ... why don't they?

Cheers :-)

yeah be all "ok it's either i use the men's room or i pee on the floor. take your pick" to a security guard or some guy in the bathroom who's trying to stop you going in there.

No. Because then we can get a sneak peak at our future prospects. wink wink. Besides some women bathrooms can be heidous and I would rush to the nearest mens rest room.
