Villagers furious with Missionaries:

Jubilant at seeing the relief trucks loaded with food, clothes and the much-needed medicines the villagers, many of who have not had a square meal in days, were shocked when the Christian aid workers asked them to CONVERT before distributing biscuits and water.

I grew up Catholic and I had two, a green one and a brown one that said, "Whoever dies wearing this scapular shall not suffer eternal fire" (or something like that).

Just a random memory...

I'm not asking what *people* say about God, I'm asking about what *different* people think about God, in terms of what he looks like.

What do *you* think God looks like??

Oooh yeah! That guy is a genius. Score one for the atheists, zero for the Christians. Just proves how smart we are. Yesss, I knew it all along.

I mean what really convinces people to "convert" to atheism/agnosticism? Is it reading a well written convincing argument of why evolution is true or why the Bible shouldn't be taken literally. Or is it reading some YE creationist dribble that claims that people lived with dinosaurs, the world is only 6000 years old and that every fossil was planted by satan.

At my school, a lot of students have been secretly meeting in a so called 'white pride club' to celebrate european heritage. My friend encouraged me to go so I went thinking it was what they said it was: just to celebrate and learn about history and heritage. The turnout was huge with so many students we had to change the meeting to some one's house. All was well until this: The club members are encouraged to hold their nose whenever they walk passed a black person. These students are doing this and luckily only a couple of black students have noticed something odd in the behavior of some of the secret club members but aside from a curious look, they have not really caught on yet. Membership is rapidly growing and hundreds of white students are doing this. To be honest, I think this is the very reason why a white club, or a white channel, or a white anything for that matter would never work because it would ultimately become a way to hurt someone else of another ethnicity.

I am greek orthodox my fiance has no religion. In order for us to get married in a greek church he has to get baptized. I want a greek wedding because thats what I grew up seeing and thats what I know. The only problem is I would have to become a member almost $400 a year and so would the maid of honor (my sister) My mom also say we have to get married in a greek church lol its not her decition but she is paying for SOME of the wedding so I am scared to loose the money. Is it bad to tell the priest I do not have $400 to be a member and I DO NOT want to go to church every sunday or every other sunday. I dont want to be pressured to go to church on my days off or pay just to get married. I belive I can pray in my own house. WIll the priest be offended?? Thanks!

Do you agree?? Personally, I do. I feel that, seperately, people can do and think great things. But when placed with others, people naturally change, a bit. And though in some cases they stay the same or become "more smart," the majority will in fact become less "smart."
