At my school, a lot of students have been secretly meeting in a so called 'white pride club' to celebrate european heritage. My friend encouraged me to go so I went thinking it was what they said it was: just to celebrate and learn about history and heritage. The turnout was huge with so many students we had to change the meeting to some one's house. All was well until this: The club members are encouraged to hold their nose whenever they walk passed a black person. These students are doing this and luckily only a couple of black students have noticed something odd in the behavior of some of the secret club members but aside from a curious look, they have not really caught on yet. Membership is rapidly growing and hundreds of white students are doing this. To be honest, I think this is the very reason why a white club, or a white channel, or a white anything for that matter would never work because it would ultimately become a way to hurt someone else of another ethnicity.

Sorry I wrote so much, I am just stunned and ashamed that the very students who have black friends can stab their friends in the back and do this. I just thought it was simple club with no racism involved. Why do things have to always work out for the worst?

Girly you are right, minority clubs DON'T do those things and in fact, whites are allowed to join them.

There's nothing wrong with celebrating your heritage, but having pride has nothing to do with hurting others. You seemed to really enjoy your club and so you shouldn't have to sacrifice leaving this club because a few individuals wanted to make it into a race issue. If you are serious about keeping this club clean then confront the people who are being obnoxious and kick them out of the group.

White Pride is usually an euphemism for white racism.Whenever U hear of something being called White Pride,it's usually racist therefore. Always read between the lines and always beware of hidden meanings.

Ridiculous. The very fact that they do this at "white pride clubs" is proof that they don't need one.
Clubs for blacks and other ethnicities don't encourage the hatred of other races.

Really its just the simple fact. Sad to see that white students have to go underground to celebrate there heritage. Oh god it is a sad day in this country and possibly the world. Most the time when a so called " White club" gets hostile with other races, it because majority of the time blacks, or other ethnic groups resent it, and begin doing things that end there club, which results in the white members retaliating. Dont forget the Blacks in Jena 6 instigated the whole mess that happen there. Whenver blacks occupy a certain area of the play ground, majority of the time they get hostile with any whites that come across, but on the other hand when whites grab there peice of the area, it causes a lawsuit. Something else I would like to say... Black protestors all the time shout out " Black power!" but isnt that racial supremecy when you shout power to your race? I can understand "Black pride" but Black power? God forbid a white man say " White power" but he is still shunned when he says White pride.

The problem here isnt that of the group but the actions the students took.I actually think its fantastic to learn about your true beautiful roots( Im hispanic) but you have to remeber WHITE is an american word,go to spain and portugal, they dont call themselves white! They know and believe they are totally different then germans! Thats the problem here in the usa,people think white and black white and black all the time! my question is do blacks really know what country they are originally from?.....Anyways,there is nothing wrong with the group its awesome there are some great european cultures,its the racism that was behind it!!! CULTURE HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH HATE,YOUR SUPPOSED TO WELCOME PEOPLE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THIS BEAUTY NOT MAKE THEM HATE YOU! thats why most people expect every white is probably a little racist......

Basically they are starting a neo-nazi group. There's a difference between Nazism's verson of white pride and having pride in your European ancestory. I doubt other student minority groups mistreat white students like that.

Well...if your question is genuine, then you should know that the Jena Six issue (which is inspiring such activity), like the war in Iraq, the 2006 presidential election, 9/11, and Monica Lewinsky (who?... don't ask, lol) will all be forgotten in short order.
Americans have short-term memory, so, trust me...everyone will be back in the racially integrated sandbox playing nice in no time.
