The law shows us our sin and need for a savior.
Christ is our savior, so even though we break the law, we can still go to heaven!

The Law of God (10 commandments) shows you that you sin and how you sin. The Gospel of Christ is the good news that you need not be condemned by the Law but be pardoned by Christ and live with God forever.

We don't. The world is full of unanswerable questions. Unanswerable questions tend to create anxiety. Religion is one of the ways that have emerged as means of dealing with the unanswerable questions and thus reduce the anxiety.
There are numerous religions, each of which serving the same function. There is not one in particular that has a monopoly on anxiety reduction.

The Gospel of Christ is reality. We need it to know our Creator. There are no laws to follow when we have grace, well, except for the 10 Commandments.

I don't need either.
On the other hand, ancient man DID need it and, to satisfy that need, he invented it and convinced all his pals that the sun was a god - or somesuch other drivel. Simple people accept lies far easier than educated people.

We don't, obviously.
Only those who are waiting for someone else to tell them how to behave believe that nonsense anyway.
