The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People ( NAACP) is one of the oldest and most influential civil rights organizations in the United States.The NAACP was founded on February 12, 1909....

I suggest you read these books....to get a better understanding as to why the NAACP was founded.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. I think it was founded almost a century ago when this was the preferred description.

It stands for national association against cacusain people, and what the others said about colored people. If that's what it's supposed to mean, why do they get so bent out of shape if we call them colored people?
