More and more each day, I realize that many aspects our lives are dictated by nothing other than human instinct and it's will to perserve or perfect the species. Beauty, love, hate, lust, and the concept of "good" and "bad" are just a few of the infinite examples of human instinct. Something considered "good" is almost always something that helps to perserve the species. Giving to the poor and helping people are considered good because they help to improve the health of other humans so they prosper and reproduce. Something considered "bad" is almost always something that helps to blight the speicies. Killing seems bad because it decreases the human population and prevents it from prospering. Emotions, in any shape or form, are mental messages that let us know if something is "bad" or "good" for us and the species. Emotions are nothing but human instinct. If you learn to detach yourself from emotions and human ways of thinking, people brand you as "cold hearted", "sociopathic", "crazy", or even "evil". If people were to take time and look at humanity from a purely animalistic point of view, they could see why they do the things they do and have a greater understanding of their own way of life. Every feeling, thought, and action we do are geared towards preserving the species. When we stray from these instincts, we tend to commit acts that are considered "bad" by other humans because they can't understand the pointlessness of their own humanity. In the end, we're just animals that are really great at being able to preserve ourselves. Too bad for the humans that don't appreciate humanity. They'll just get beleaugered and ostricized until they do what's right; commit suicide.

Here is the verse:

2 Thessalonians 3:10
For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."

If I'm not mistaken....in this context, Paul had to re-write to the believers at Thessalonica concerning some who were simply quitting their jobs, giving away all they had.....going up onto their rooftops and expecting the Lord to return at any moment. Basically, he had to scold them for this incorrect thinking and tell them to get back to work....or you don't eat.

So within this mind set, my question is this:

Do you think retirement is Biblical? Obviously, people get old and simply cannot work anymore. But what about wealthy young people? Is someone who does not work going against a Biblical mandate?

All are welcome to answer......believer & non-believer.

Today [ Tuesday,20th Ramadan /// 2nd October] .. in Egypt
is the starting day of the
~*~ LAST 10 DAYS OF RAMADAN ~*~

and Today ...... is the ~*~ First ODD NIGHT ~*~

so... just a reminder :
Though all days of Ramadan are full of blessings and rewards, its last ten days hold a special status reflected in the recommendations and practices of the Messenger of Allah, Muhammad [ salla Allahu alaihi wa sallam], and his companions.

so, all of us should try HARD to benefit from these last 10 days:
*Praying taraweeh .... as well as ... tahajod
*Performing I`tikaf in the Masjid (seclusion in the Mosque)
[for men ....... if possible]
*Seeking Laylatul-Qadr (the Night of Decree)

We pray to Allah All Mighty Most Merciful to bless us this Ramadan by witnessing Laylatul-Qadr

Matthew 7:21
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

So, what do you think the will of the Father is?

Give me your opinion.

I think if you don't want short cut spelling then please tell yahoo to not limit characters or at least double the allowable characters. Myself I don't mind the characters limited. Some people seem too lazy to bother with understanding the shortcuts.
I usually use shortcut spelling when I can't tell the whole question in the allowable characters limits! Usually things fit the allowable limits but some times it don't no matter how I word it. When I use short cut spelling most of the time I've already tried many times before hand to see if I can get my message across in limited characters!
Sometimes this isn't possible no matter how I word it! Some people are too dumb to realize that &they complain about the short cut spelling.. I think such people are retarded don't you or at least too lazy.. they are probably the type that get others to do their work, they probably never did a days work in their life if they can't bother to realize a simple think as U= You. You?

Hi, I am translating a book and came across a paragraph with 3 sentences. Can you help with translation?

"For my entire tenure at Deloitte, I had the ear of the CEO [WHAT DOES "TO HAVE THE EAR OF SOMEONE MEAN], and he kept asking about me among his partners [TO ASK ABOUT ME AMONG HIS PARTNER?]. He was looking out for me the entire time [TO LOOK OUT FOR SOMEONE?]."

If you can explain the phrases in capital letters, or re-write those 3 sentences that would be great.

People say that DNA testing has proven the Book of Mormon to be false, because it shows that the Native American Indians are not descended from the Jews. But, wouldn't you need the DNA of the people who you are comparing DNA with? For example, to know if today's Native American Indians are descended from the Lamanites, you would need the DNA of the Lamanites from the end of the Book of Mormon. And even then, nothing will be conclusive, since many centuries have passed and DNA gets "diluted" or "evolved" or whatever.

There is no substantial evidence for either. When will christian beliefs transform into mythology? 100 years, 1000 years?

This little tyke displays eccentric behaviours such as crying incessantly when he was an infant .I know you would all say babies cry non-stop but he would cry 24/7 a day. His cry doesn’t irritate or frustrates you. In fact, if you listen closely, it creeps you…there’s a hollow quality towards it and it will send shivers down your spine…

He would spit out milk fed to him and regularly regurgitate food out of his mouth. And his eyes, they were still and motionless, expressionless!! People say that the eyes are windows to a person’s soul, if that’s the case , his were dead, pure evil, devoid of feelings…

My uncle brought him to numerous doctors and specialists. All of them said he was fine and perfectly healthy, just a stubborn baby they say when told of his weird behaviours. But I know better, for I have been the caretaker of this baby. His parents were usually overseas, their business quarters located on foreign land. They come back sporadically, even then usually at night. Entrusting their little tyke to me was the worst decision!! This little devil is driving me insane!!! His planting weird thoughts into my feeble mind!!! I swear!!! Im having periodic nightmares, visions of the unknown...weird creatures with their hysteric laughter!! Unrelenting nights of sleep deprivation is causing me the utmost misery.

But that is not all, strange things that foretell his abnormality began to happen when he turned one. I remembered him killing ants and small insects. On one occasion, I accidentally broke the fish tank and when I hurried off to the kitchen to get the broom, I got the shock of my life when I see him trying to consume the live goldfish!!!!

I’m at my wits end…how do I end this torment?

Hi everyone. We are brainstorming for a catchy Halloween theme and name for our party. It is for a club that is 21+ over. I work for a radio station and we do a regular Saturday night broadcast from there. We want somethig interesting, fun, and it can be sexy, but since it will be discussed on-air, it can't be overtly sexual. Got any good theme and name ideas? A little background about the club-The club, which I won't mention the entire name, starts with a "V". So, keep that in mind too if you could work that in to it. It is a dance club and it is classy, but not pretentious. Thanks a million!

Now I asked a question about some who poke fun at Christians but this is for some Christians on here.
A person I talk to on here received an email saying-
I hope your gay cousin gets saved, Jesus loves you,
gay is a sin! For info here, her cousin believes in Jesus.
She has blocked a few Christians on here. You can
say you have the right to judge righteously but you have
No right to judge anyone. You do not help people who
do not believe in Jesus. You should look in the mirror
at yourselves before throwing stones.
