Maybe the true English people are scared about being taken over?
We'll all be growing beards and have our women wearing veils if matters get much worse.
Religion is the cause of all evil, and unfortunately, and I have nothing against your religion, the Muslim faith does have more than its fair share of lunatics.
Once you have got your own house in order, there may be a bit more trust.

Why cant christians have a mega church in an islam country? Why do people from other countries with other religions think they can come into a country to which is giving them asylum, giving them hope and a place to live not forgetting jobs, money and safety and THEN think they can demand mosques and tell people in childrens school that have been christian school for years to not wear crosses or have nativty play in case it "offends" muslim children. What about keeping alive the meaning of christian christmas's for the children who have been here much longer whos parents have paid taxes for decades! It makes me sooo angry im all for asylum and helping people in need but that it a step to far.If a british person went into an islmaic country and took asylum (probably unsuccesfully as it just wouldnt be allowed) can you imagine what would happen if they even mentioned being able to wear a cross?they would probably be executed.Britain is becoming a nanny state and it sounds like eventually someone is putting there foot down. How dare they expect a mega mosque??Rant over.

If I we are a Londoner, i would not help it. I stay in West Yorkshire and have a house in Oldham the place, in the two places, there is priceless little hazard of objecting to any of the distinctive mosques being outfitted. some, for sure, are in a house, so they do no longer pay council tax (unusual, that, do no longer you think of?) and that they are oftentimes in a Muslim-ruled section, that isn't any enormous deal. different than that those components seem to boost each six months. the sole mitigating component with regard to the mosque being next to the Olympic stadium is that the latter sounds as though it particularly is going to be risk-free from those ridiculous Islamic fundamentalists who have confidence they're going to be assembly seventy 5 virgins while they blow themselves (and different extra harmless human beings) into kingdom come.

Because the Muslims already have a bloody big mosque in Whitechapel. All golden domes with crescent moons on spires and HUGE front doors (for the men; the women's entrance is smaller). I'd know since I lived there.
They're just trying to out-do Saint Paul's Cathedral.... which honestly is only important for historical and cultural reasons; not so much for religious. The Muslims just want to displace Christianity out of Britain.... not to mention us non-religious folk.

Why can't I get funding to build a temple to Quetzalcoatl for the Olympics, and what about a temple for the Greek Gods we are talking about the Olympics for goodness sakes.

I don't know anything about this, but could it be that it would violate zoning laws? Religions should be subject to the same laws as every other business.
