Adi Parva, Section XLII and XLIII (Astika Parva):
Kasyapa is described with words of praise - "that best of brahmanas," "bull among Munis" etc.
He was on his way to provide a cure to King Parikshit when he was fated to be bitten by the snake Takshaka. But on the way he met Takshaka, who offered him more wealth than he could have expected from the King. Therefore, Kasyapa turned away and did not offer the cure to the King.
Why would a high-souled Sage take wealth in this instance? This doesn't make sense to me.

If so, then know that their claim is a boastful statement based on arrogance and the belief that faith alone will save them.
When they say they are guaranteed Paradise by faith then they have negated the value of the Mercy of God by not acknowledging that the final decision rests upon GOD and he will judge based on HIS criterion which may include the fruits of faith.
Therefore, there is no guarantee for Paradise based on anyones faith alone and nobody can be proud of their status based on faith.
If anyone tells you that if you bring faith into your life you will be guaranteed Paradise then know that they are boasting about something that is not in their control.

Many atheists focus their arguments on the unlogical existence off god.
But whether god exists or not is not the issue here!
A hypothetical situation
You live in Nazi Germany
You can choose from 2 choices
Obey your fuhrer and join the German army
Or join a resistant grope and fight for you freedom
The same as in religion
You have “freedom” to choose your path
But if you don’t choose the right path you will be punished
So do you have freedom?
Well if there is a stupid god I rather rote in hell for all eternity knowing I did what I felt was right
Then be a mindless slave of a dictator
I prefer the roman mythology on monotheist religion
Ulysses had the courage to fight the will of the gods (Neptune). Monotheists haven’t got this courage to stand against their powerful god.
That what atheism is all about
The freedom to choose your way
Your morals and values
And not be dictated by religion cods.

Many people in India go to the temple of "Lord Balaji (Venkateswara) at Tirupathi" and pray for something useful for them. They may even say before Balaji that such and such of my disire is fulfilled I will come to your temple at Tirupathi and make a darshan. Is this all true? Just by praying for something desired by someone will the lord Balaji fulfill them? How far this can be believed?

Aren't most churches centered around a denomination of some kind? Catholic, Protestant, Baptist, LDS, 7th day Adventist, Church of the Nazarene, Baptist, Pentecostal, Presbyterian or Episcopal. I think I covered them all lol.

They can't all be right, can they?
Yet if I ask 10 different physicists about their science then they provide a unified answer.
I've had Christians deny the dinosaurs existed, deny that they lived so long ago, admit they existed and Noah took them onto the Ark. That is just one example.
Other Christians state God justifies war, others say God is aginst war, other say only in certain circumstances.
Some say I will not go to heaven if I'm not a Christians, others say all good men go to heaven.
Some say hell exists, others say it doesn't.
What's the deal here?
