My spiritual path is paganism, with Witchcraft, and both of these encourage me to REVEL in life!!!! Suck the juices from the orange and let the juices drip down your chin!!! Swim naked!!!! Eat chocolate and sing out loud in your car with the top down and with the wind blasting your hair all over!!! Embrace every season of life, who knows what else there is, go for it, love, laugh and live!!!!!

Im Catholic and I feel that my religion strongly makes me celebrate life because I am reminded how much I am loved and how well God has done things in my life (even the not so great stuff it has all been for a good purpose)
As far as death I am comforted by the fact that death is not the end for me but th beginning of eternal life....doesnt make me LONG for death only makes me peaceful about it.

In Christianity, we are given every reason to embrace and celebrate the life we have on earth, for as long as we have it. We are also taught that no matter how much joy we have here one earth, it cannot compare to the wonders and joys of heaven. I do not "long" for death, but I don't fear it either. I try to make the most of the time I have here, and when the days are hard, like they are for me right now, I remember that there are better days ahead, and one day, I will live with my King in a land where "joys shall never end", a land of ultimate peace and happiness. You just can't beat that.

Yes, I view each time I draw breath as a gift, and each new day I wake up is a blessing. My religion focuses on learning and growing in your spirit. I agree that some religions are negative in their teachings.
I think it's really important that you keep things in their proper perspective. You don't really need a religion to have a connection with God, you are one of God's favorite little kids, God just loves you all to pieces. God wants all the best for you.
God also knows you're going to do things that aren't agreeable to God. God gave Christians an out ,Jesus, for that.
We are human and we do things because we lack the knowledge of the Universe which God has. If you celebrate life, than you are doing that which is right in the eyes of God.
What an intriguing question...
I'm marking it as interesting and giving you some stars,OK?
Good luck
and peace, love and happiness.

Greg T "I have eternal life, which is more than can be said for you.". Well now, isn't Jesus SO PROUD of you? Aren't YOU the living model of the life of Jesus? Is THAT how you go about winning "eternal souls" for God? YOU are the living model of exactly WHY I turned my back on Christ and Christianity. If yours IS the one TRUE Religion and THAT is an example of how you are supposed to behave, then I eagerly RUN, not walk to the MIDDLE of Hell. If THAT is an example of the KIND of people that are to inhabit Heaven, then to ME, that is HELL and I REFUSE to go there, willingly and deliberately. How's THAT for a freaken shock, BUDDY?
Diane, Wicca teaches us to not only live our lives, learn as much as we can but to actually CARE about each other in positive ways, loving ways, accepting ways, and respectful ways. Wicca also teaches us to love and care for the universe in which we live and to do so willingly and lovingly.
As we can see from Gerg's statement, HIS religion IS a Religion of Death, a cult of Death and a cult of condemnation and hatred. HOW people can gleefully seek such a life and desire such an eternal reward is WAY beyond my ability to comprehend. They are SO sad, just So sad, indeed.

I do not have any other( foreign to get stuck) religion except mine which I took time to construct - and still on the exercise.. There is a divinity as guide. .it's somebody very ancestral which has not to be revealed to the outside world. You agree any human must have a goal or fix himself one with experiences of life and try to come nearer to it.I think the celebration ( all that one may think and do at the positive) is here - in the attempt.Got me!

I believe there are some that do...mine, for instance, shows me to live and enjoy my life to my fullest taking in the beauty of everything around me. As for longing for death, I don't long for it but I definitely am ready and fearless of it.
Blessed Be!!!

No, it's my lack of religion that leads me to celebrate life. I don't believe there is anything after we die, which means we should life the life we do have to the fullest.
