Women who are Catholics DO NOT WANT TO BECOME PRIESTS IN THE FIRST PLACE .A priest represents Jesus when he celebrates the Eucharist at Mass. Just like at the last supper when Jesus took the bread, said the blessing, broke the bread and gave it to his disciples, saying "Take this, all of you and eat it :this is my body which will be given up for you".It is a tradition of the Catholic Church to have a male Priest representing Jesus.
Catholic women are happy to leave it at that. They do not want to become Priests.
EDIT..To the poster above. We have male and female altar servers.
"Those making fun of the Catholic Church are not Christians. You cannot be a Christian if you do not respect other Religions. You do not believe in God if you make fun of other Religions You are offending God deeply".Spoken by the Blessed Virgin Mary .
Will that stop you from sinning.Of course not. Most of you no nothing about Mary.So why would you care ?

It is only right that Priests are male
women are designed to have children and procreate with their husbands
Jesus was a man and as a male represented God as a man the Priest also a man is a sign of God.
Mary his Mother is also the Mother of the Church and represents the female and the gift of life & birth
As a Catholic I hope it NEVER happens that we have women Preists
Women are too emotional anyway
and yes IM a woman

The quick reply is that the Catholic Church has a male-handiest priesthood due to the fact she handiest has the authority to ordain guys. When Jesus situated the priesthood, he selected handiest guys to be apostles (no longer disciples like yet another stated, he had plenty of ladies disciples, however handiest guys Apostles). He might have selected ladies. Women had been distinguished amongst his disciples and in his ministry. Mary Magdalene could definitely were a better great candidate than one of the most Apostles. Jesus additionally broke conventions approximately gender. He talked to the girl by way of the good .. on my own .. a Samaritan lady .. a infamous sinner. This used to be unthinkable. He allow Mary (Martha's sister) take a seat and gain knowledge of at his toes. This too used to be unthinkable. Jesus used to be definitely no slave to gender politics of the day, he might have selected a lady as a clergyman. But Jesus handiest selected guys. So, for this reason the Church can handiest prefer guys. There are theological causes for this, however eventually all of it comes again to this. If the Catholic Church had been to start to ordain ladies, it could thoroughly lose its identification. The authority with which the Church has taught approximately ladies's ordination is the identical authority with which she has taught approximately the Eucharist, approximately the scripture canon, approximately the Trinity, approximately the Sacraments, approximately salvation approximately the character of Jesus Himself. The Catholic Church believes that it's guided by way of the Holy Spirit, that's the foundation for its authority. If this factor will get overturned, then the authority which has taught it will get overturned as good. That method that each one ideals are up for redefinition established at the type of the day. We have obvious this within the Anglican Communion, in particular the Episcopal Church. Within forty years of opening ladies's ordination, believing that Jesus is God is even up for grabs in that Communion. Oh, and "whatotherway"? There were no feminine popes. There isn't any side of the ritual in which the pope is lifted as much as verify his "apparatus." And Constantine didn't have some thing to do with the formation of the Bible Canon, that used to be lengthy after. And he *used to be* baptized on his deathbed. There isn't any proof of his son and manservant announcing in any other case. These are all general web, anti-catholic tripe. If you quite desire anybody to think them, you higher be competent to exhibit a few proof .. and no longer just a few internet site in which any person says it's precise, however precise historic assets.

In addition to the answer given by iamcatholic2, the Mass is also a ceremony symbolic of a wedding. During the Mass, Christ is made present for us in the Holy Eucharist. It is there that He gives Himself to the Church, just as a groom gives himself to his bride. It takes a male priest to consecrate the bread and the wine, to act in persona christi (the person of Christ), making himself an instrument of Jesus. In this way, it is not actually the priest performing the consecration, but Jesus Himself (I’m not saying the priest becomes Jesus, so don’t get confused).
If a female were trying to consecrate, it would be like a bride offering herself to a bride, which would in effect homosexualize the Mass. Make sense?

Catholics have all kinds of reasons. One is that Jesus supposedly had no female disciples.
Another reason (from a Catholic website) "since the priest acts in the person of Christ, the Church has no authority to confer the sacrament on those who are unable to represent the male Jesus Christ."
More: "Men and woman are equal in the eyes of God, but this equality is not synonymous with sameness. They play different roles within the Church...

In the traditions of man , I guess anything goes but if you follow God, you would be under the five fold ministries: Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, teachers and Pastor. Where does it say a Priest? Most churches make God's word non effect or powerless.
DO THE WILL OF GOD
You need to find a home church, be obedient, follow his word, be baptized with the holy spirit, show your self approved and do the will of God (Mark 16: 15 - 18)

Many churches do not ordain women into their ministry or priesthood. Simply put there are no examples of Jesus ever calling a woman into His ministry, not once. He called men as Elders, Apostles, missionaries etc. yet not once chooses a woman. Jesus says "follow me" and wishes for us to follow His examples, and many churches take that at face value.
Jesus had no trouble breaking Jewish traditions, and harshly rebuked the Pharisees and their many traditions, yet not once ordains or calls women when He surely could have if it was something God wanted or felt would have been good.
A few quote the passage about Phoebe (a woman) being a Deaconess, yet the Greek word Deacon simply means helper or servant... not a minister.
Not all men are called into the ministry either. I have been in the church since 1983 and never have been called, yet others are called who are far less learned. Shall I shout at God or cry in my milk? Or leave it in the Lord's hands and trust His judgment? Sometimes God chooses the boneheads so that only God gets the glory... perhaps women should take not getting called as a compliment rather than insult... really...
1 Cor. 1:26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called:
27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;
28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:
29 That no flesh should glory in his presence.
30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:
31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

The Catholic Church currently teaches:
The Lord Jesus chose men to form the college of the twelve apostles, and the apostles did the same when they chose collaborators to succeed them in their ministry.
The Church recognizes herself to be bound by this choice made by the Lord himself. For this reason the ordination of women is not possible.

Why is it when someone asks a simple question about the Catholic Church, every Catholic Church hater, be they protestant or atheist, falls all over themselves to answer it even though they have no idea of the correct answer? Please stop doing that people. You are only showing your ignorance and bigotry.

She might masturbate and priest aren't allowed to have sex with women.
Then again, she is lucky she even gets a good seat. Some religions like Orthodox Jews make their women sit up in the balcony.
